Description
Cream, white or white with a yellowish tinge, odorless or with a weak specific odor.
Pharmacotherapeutic group: dermatoprotective agent
pharmachologic effect
Zinc pyrithione has anti-inflammatory, antibacterial and antifungal activity. The antibacterial activity of zinc pyrithione is manifested against a number of gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria (Streptococcus spp., Staphylococcus spp., Escherichia coli, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Proteus spp.). Zinc pyrithione reduces the intracellular level of ATP, promotes depolarization of cell membranes, and promotes depolarization of cell membranes.
Antifungal activity is especially pronounced against fungi of the genus Malassezia (formerly Pityrosporum ovale and Pityrosporum orbiculare), which cause inflammation and excessive flaking in dandruff, seborrheic dermatitis, psoriasis and other skin diseases. The mechanism of anti-inflammatory action has not been studied.
Pharmacokinetics
Systemic absorption is negligible. The drug is found in the blood in trace amounts.

Side effect
The drug is usually well tolerated. Allergic reactions are sometimes noted.
Overdose
To date, no cases of zinc pyrithione overdose have been reported.
Interaction with other medicinal products
No clinically significant interaction of zinc pyrithione with other drugs has been identified.

25 g or 50 g in aluminum tubes. The tube, together with the instructions for use, is placed in a cardboard box.
Storage conditions
In a dry place, at a temperature of 4 to 25 ? C. Keep out of the reach of children.
Shelf life
3 years. Do not use after the expiration date printed on the package.
