This substance activates myelopoiesis and cell division processes, enhances the synthesis of trypsin and lipase, takes part in the processes of cholesterol production and mineral metabolism.

Presumably, retinol is characterized by an antitumor effect, however, it does not extend to non-epithelial tumor formations.

Pharmacodynamics:

The local action of retinol is due to the presence of specific retinol-binding receptors on the surface of epithelial cells.
