Dosage form

Suppositories of white with a yellowish, creamy or grayish shade, torpedo-shaped.

The appearance of a white coating on the surface of the suppository is allowed.

Structure

One suppository contains:

active substance: prostate extract 100 mg in terms of water-soluble peptides - 20 mg

excipient: solid fat (Witepsol, brands H 15, W 35 suppository, brands NA 15, NAS 50) - a sufficient amount to obtain a suppository weighing 1.25 g.

Pharmacodynamics

Vitaprost® Forte has an organotropic effect on the prostate gland.

Reduces the degree of edema, leukocyte infiltration of the prostate gland, normalizes the secretory function of epithelial cells, increases the number of lecithin grains in the secretion of the acini, stimulates the muscle tone of the bladder.

Improves microcirculation in the prostate gland by reducing thrombus formation, antiplatelet activity, prevents the development of venule thrombosis in the prostate gland.

Based on the data of clinical studies, it has been proved that Vitaprost® Forte moderately reduces the volume of the prostate gland.

The drug reduces the severity of obstructive and irritative symptoms in benign prostatic hyperplasia, which is expressed in an increase in the maximum and average volumetric flow rates of urine and a decrease in the volume of residual urine.

Vitaprost® Forte improves blood microcirculation in the bladder wall due to the expansion of intact blood vessels (vasodilation effect), thereby helping to restore oxygen delivery to tissues experiencing hypoxia, which stimulates physiological repair.

It has an anti-inflammatory effect by improving the processes of trophism of the bladder wall and stimulating regenerative processes.

Activation of organ blood flow improves the adaptive and contractile activity of the detrusor, increasing the capacity of the bladder.

A decrease in detrusor ischemia can be explained by a pronounced decrease in bladder hyperactivity, which continues after the end of the use of Vitaprost® Forte.

Vitaprost® Forte helps to normalize the parameters of the prostate gland and ejaculate.

Reduces pain and discomfort, eliminates dysuric phenomena, improves copulatory function.

Indications

Chronic prostatitis.

Benign prostatic hyperplasia.

Treatment of urgent (imperative) urinary incontinence, urgency (imperative) urge to urinate and frequent urination in uncomplicated forms of overactive bladder in women in menopause and postmenopausal periods.

Conditions before and after surgery on the prostate gland.

Contraindications

- hypersensitivity to drug components.

Overdose

No cases of overdose of Vitaprost® Forte have been reported.
