PURPOSE
Indicator strips DIAGLYUK are intended for visual semi-quantitative determination of glucose in human whole blood.
They can be used for an approximate assessment of blood glucose levels in diabetic patients, if diabetes is suspected (for example, in the presence of risk factors), if emergency diagnostics are required in medical institutions, as well as for self-monitoring.
Semi-quantitative determination of glucose in whole blood makes it possible to control the level of glycemia, adjust the course of treatment, and also choose the appropriate diet.
Test strips are intended for in vitro diagnostics.
Test strips are for single use only.
Potential risk class - 2a.
DEFINITION
Before carrying out the determination, you must thoroughly wash your hands with soap, dry them, and massage them to improve blood circulation.
When using someone else's help, blood can be drawn from the earlobe.
Regardless of whether a disinfectant is used, the blood sampling site must be completely dry before puncture, or there is a risk of incorrect results.
Open the pencil case or open the bag, remove the indicator strip from it.
In the case of packing the indicator strips into a case, the latter should be immediately tightly closed with a lid.
Place the strip with the sensor element facing up on a clean, dry surface.
Pierce your finger with a sterile scarifier, a special sterile medical lancet, or an insulin needle to pierce the skin.
Remove the first drop of blood that comes out.
Squeeze your finger gently until one large drop of blood appears.
Take a strip and touch a drop of blood to the sensor element of the strip so that the blood completely evenly covers its entire surface.
Do not smear blood on the sensor element or touch it with your finger.
Place the indicator strip on a flat, clean, dry surface with the sensor element facing up and immediately start the stopwatch.
After exactly 60 seconds, rinse off the blood from the sensor strip with a stream of clean cold water or intensive rinsing in a glass of clean cold water for 3-5 seconds.
Shake off excess water on the sensor element with a sharp movement of the hand or by gently touching the edge of the strip to clean filter paper for 2-3 seconds.
Wait another 60 seconds and compare the color of the sensor element with the color scale on the package label of the kit in good light.
SENSITIVITY AND SPECIFICITY OF DETERMINATION
With severe circulatory disorders, despite the normal concentration of glucose in the venous blood, its concentration in the capillary blood can be greatly underestimated.
With pronounced prolonged spasm of the vessels of the fingers, capillary blood should be taken from the earlobe.
The sensory zone has the necessary protection against the effects of ascorbic acid.
The results of determining the content of glucose in the blood can be distorted with a high content of fat in the blood (lipemia), with a strong metabolic disorder
with a hematocrit (more than 55%) and a blood glucose level above 200.0 mg /% (11.0 mmol / L), the test result may be underestimated, while at a very low hematocrit (less than 35%), the test result may be overpriced.
In a hyperglycemic-hyperosmolar state with or without ketosis, the results obtained can be significantly lower than the true glucose level.
In dialysis treatment, in some cases, the determination results may be unreliable.
After intravenous
the introduction of ascorbic acid for 60 minutes, a weakening of the color reaction of the indicator strips can be observed.
!
Strict adherence to the instructions for use is essential to obtain reliable results!
STORAGE AND USE CONDITIONS
Indicator strips should be stored in the manufacturer's packaging in a dry place at a temperature of +10 - +25 ° C (in the absence of acid, alkali and organic solvent vapors) during the entire shelf life (12 months).
Determination of glucose content should be carried out at a temperature of +18 - +30 ° C.
Correct results are obtained only when fresh blood is used.
It is necessary to protect the indicator strips from high humidity and direct sunlight.
Avoid direct sunlight on the color scale.
Each indicator strip is designed for one glucose determination.
After opening the case, the indicator strips should be used within a period of not more than 4 months.
An indicator strip taken out of the package should be used for analysis within a time period not exceeding 30 minutes.
Each time after removing the indicator strip from the case, the latter should be immediately and tightly closed with a lid.
