DESCRIPTION

Virus-vaccine against equine rhinopneumonia dry cultural SV / 69 is intended for vaccination of horses in farms unfavorable for rhinopneumonia.

COMPOSITION

Cultural dry virus vaccine against equine rhinopneumonia - CB / 69 is intended for the immunization of horses in farms that are unfavorable for this disease. The vaccine is made from the avirulent strain CB / 69 of equine rhinopneumoniae virus, reproduced in a pig kidney cell culture and freeze-dried in a special protective medium containing edible gelatin and sucrose. In appearance, it is a dry, porous mass of pale yellow or slightly pinkish color. When distilled water or isotonic sodium chloride solution 0.9% is added, it should completely dissolve within 1 - 2 minutes with the formation of a pink liquid without lumps, flakes and sediment. The vaccine is packaged in 4 doses in glass vials, hermetically sealed with polymer caps and rolled in aluminum caps.

PHARMACOLOGICAL PROPERTIES

One dose of the vaccine contains up to 5.5-6.0 lg TCD50 units of the virus of the vaccine strain. Immunity in horses is developed on the 10-14th day, its tension increases after the repeated administration of the vaccine. Annual revaccination ensures the maintenance of strong immunity. The vaccine has no medicinal properties.

INDICATIONS

It is prescribed to horses for the specific prevention of rhinopneumonia.

DOSES AND METHOD OF APPLICATION

Before administration, the vaccine is dissolved in sterile saline at a temperature of 18-25 В° C. Syringes and needles are sterilized by boiling; a separate needle is used for each animal. The injection site is treated with alcohol or iodine tincture. The vaccine is administered to animals intramuscularly, 2 ml in the neck area.

Foal mares are immunized twice, the first vaccination is carried out at 1 - 3 months of pregnancy, the second - after 3 - 4 months, but not later than 7 months of pregnancy. The rest of the horses are vaccinated twice with an interval of 3 to 4 months. Foals are vaccinated for the first time at the age of 3 months and again 3 - 4 weeks before weaning.

Horses are revaccinated annually, twice with an interval of 3-4 months. Re-vaccination of sports horses is completed no later than 2 weeks before leaving the farm. The vaccinated animals are monitored with selective thermometry for 7 days.

SIDE EFFECTS

In some cases, after the application of the vaccine in animals, a short-term increase in body temperature is possible within 2 - 3 days after the administration of the vaccine up to 39 - 39.5 В° C.

CONTRAINDICATIONS

Horses with an elevated body temperature and patients with acute respiratory diseases are not subject to vaccination.

SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS

When manipulating the drug, you should follow the rules of asepsis, avoid contamination of the vaccine. If the vaccine comes into contact with the skin or mucous membranes of the eyes, it must be washed off immediately with plenty of soap and water. At the end of the treatment, hands should be thoroughly washed with warm water and soap.

SHELF LIFE AND STORAGE

With caution. Store in a cool, dry, dark place, out of reach of children and animals, at a temperature of 6 to 8 В° C. The shelf life is 12 months. All unused vials with the dissolved vaccine, as well as those with an expired shelf life, in the presence of mechanical impurities in the vial and loss of tightness, must be disinfected by boiling for 15 minutes with subsequent disposal.
