The price is for 1 dose.
DESCRIPTION
Vaccine Polivac-TM against dermatomycosis of dogs. In appearance, it is a homogeneous liquid of light brown color with a thin sediment at the bottom that disappears when shaken.
COMPOSITION
Includes 8 species and varieties of mushrooms from the genus Trichophyton and Microsporum.
PHARMACOLOGICAL PROPERTIES
Immunity in vaccinated animals begins 20-30 days after the second vaccination and lasts for at least 12 months from the moment of the first vaccine administration.
INDICATIONS
For prophylactic and therapeutic vaccination of dogs with dermatophytosis, the causative agents of which are fungi of the genera Trichophyton and Microsporum.
DOSAGE AND APPLICATION
For prophylactic and therapeutic purposes, the vaccine is administered intramuscularly into the posterior femoral muscles, neck, scapula in the following doses: for dogs aged 1-10 months - for prophylactic purposes - 0.3 ml; therapeutic - 0.5 ml; over 10 months - as a preventive measure - 0.3 ml; therapeutic - 0.6 ml. When using a vaccine for therapeutic purposes, two and three times the vaccine is administered with an interval of 10-14 days. The skin at the injection site is disinfected with 70% ethyl alcohol or 0.5% carbolic acid solution. Syringes and needles are sterilized by boiling before use, and a separate needle is used to vaccinate each animal. To accelerate the rejection of crusts, it is recommended to treat the affected skin areas with emollients - fish oil, lanolin, petroleum jelly, and other mineral or vegetable oils used in medicine and veterinary medicine. Shake the vial or ampoule with the vaccine before use. All dogs should be clinically evaluated prior to vaccine administration. Considering that the introduction of the vaccine to animals in the incubation period of the disease accelerates the clinical manifestation of dermatomycosis, it is necessary in nurseries and other enterprises that are unfavorable for dermatomycosis to carry out general vaccination in therapeutic doses. In weak emaciated dogs with metabolic disorders and affected by ectoparasites, the preventive and therapeutic effectiveness of the vaccine is reduced. Rearrangement and transportation of animals in nurseries and other enterprises free of dermatomycosis is allowed without restrictions 14 days after vaccination. All newly admitted animals are vaccinated during their quarantine period. After the end of the vaccinations, an act is drawn up indicating the date, the number of immunized animals, the epizootic state of the farm, the batch number of the vaccine, the expiration date and date of manufacture, the manufacturer, as well as the persons who vaccinated. The act also indicates the amount of biological product and disinfectant consumed for vaccination.
SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS
No special precautions are taken.
CONTRAINDICATIONS
It is not allowed to vaccinate animals with fever and infectious diseases.
SIDE EFFECTS
When healthy animals are vaccinated, no changes in the clinical state are observed. In some individuals, there is a slight swelling and inflammation at the site of vaccine injection, which spontaneously disappears without medical intervention after 3-4 days. When vaccinating animals in the incubation period of the disease, vaccination accelerates the manifestation of the clinical picture of dermatomycosis with the emergence of multiple foci of a superficial nature. Animals that have shown clinical signs of the disease should be given a therapeutic dose of the vaccine, and in especially severe cases, the vaccine should be administered 3-4 times. The interval between vaccine injections is 10-14 days.
SHELF LIFE AND STORAGE
