DESCRIPTION
Multifel-4 is a vaccine against panleukopenia, rhinotracheitis, calicivirus infection and feline chlamydia. In appearance, the vaccine is a clear or slightly cloudy liquid, the color of which can vary from light yellow to pink, with a slight sediment at the bottom of the bottle, which, when shaken, easily breaks up into a homogeneous suspension.
COMPOSITION
The vaccine Multifel-4 is made from inactivated industrial strains of panleukopenia viruses, infectious rhinotracheitis, feline calicivirus, chlamydia psittaci and aluminum hydroxide as an adjuvant.
BIOLOGICAL PROPERTIES
Vaccine Multifel-4 induces the formation of an immune response in cats to panleukopenia, infectious rhinotracheitis, calicivirus and chlamydia 14 days after the second immunization, which lasts for 1 year.
The vaccine is areactogenic and harmless to animals of all age groups, it has no medicinal properties.
One immunizing dose of the vaccine contains at least: feline calicivirus - 105TCD50; feline herpesvirus - 105TCD50; feline arvovirus - 103.0 HAU; chlamydia psittaci 106 IFU.
DOSAGE AND APPLICATION
The vaccine is intended for the prevention of panleukopenia, rhinotracheitis, calicivirus infection and chlamydia of domestic cats and wild felines.
Before use in the cold season, the vaccine is heated to a temperature of 36-38 В° C, during use, the vials (ampoules) with the vaccine are thoroughly shaken until a homogeneous suspension is formed, excluding the precipitation of vaccine components.
The vaccine is administered intramuscularly to kittens at 8-12 weeks of age and again after 21-28 days at a dose of 1.0 ml, regardless of body weight and breed of cats. Revaccination is carried out at the age of 10-12 months. Adult cats are vaccinated annually.
Vaccination is carried out in compliance with the rules of asepsis; only sterile materials and instruments are used for injection. A separate needle is used for each animal.
SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS
There were no symptoms of panleukopenia, rhinotracheitis, calicivirus infection and chlamydia or other pathological signs in case of an overdose of the vaccine.
The peculiarities of the post-vaccination reaction during the primary, re-vaccination and revaccination have not been established.
Violations of the vaccination schedule should be avoided, as this can lead to a decrease in the effectiveness of immunoprophylaxis of panleukopenia, rhinotracheitis, calicivirus infection and chlamydia. In case of skipping the repeated administration of the vaccine, it is necessary to immunize as soon as possible.
Simultaneous use of the Multifel-4 vaccine with the Leominor viral leukemia vaccine is allowed. The vaccine is not used in the same syringe with other biological products and drugs.
The terms of the possible use of products of animal origin after the introduction of the Multifel-4 vaccine are not established.
CONTRAINDICATIONS
Clinically sick and / or weakened animals are not subject to vaccination.
SIDE EFFECTS
When using the vaccine in accordance with this instruction, side effects and complications, as a rule, are not noted. At the injection site, a rapidly disappearing swelling may appear. In case of allergic reactions to the vaccine administration in some animals, antihistamines must be used to remove them.
SHELF LIFE AND STORAGE
The shelf life of the vaccine is 12 months from the date of issue, subject to storage and transportation conditions. After the expiration date, the vaccine is not suitable for use.
The vaccine is stored and transported in a dry dark place at a temperature of 2 В° C to 8 В° C. Multifel-4 should be stored out of the reach of children.
PACKAGING
The vaccine is packaged in 1 ml glass bottles (ampoules). The vials are sealed with rubber stoppers, reinforced with aluminum caps, ampoules are hermetically sealed. The vial (ampoule) contains one dose of the vaccine. Vials (ampoules) with the vaccine are packed in cardboard (plastic) boxes or blisters. Each box (blister) contains instructions for using the vaccine.
