Indications

Routine preventive immunization in foci with a high risk of damage, as well as selective vaccination of people visiting foci of tick-borne encephalitis. Emergency care for suspected tick bites in areas endemic to tick-borne encephalitis.

Contraindications

Fever (infectious and non-infectious genesis), hereditary, progressive diseases of the nervous system, epilepsy with frequent seizures, food allergies (especially to eggs), bronchial asthma, collagenosis, chronic liver and kidney diseases, chronic heart failure blood circulation, diabetes, thyrotoxicosis, malignant neoplasms, blood diseases, pregnancy.

Use during pregnancy and lactation

Contraindicated during pregnancy.

Special instructions

After a fever, vaccinations are acceptable no earlier than 1 month after recovery, and for people who have had viral hepatitis and meningococcal infection, not earlier than 6 months after recovery. Vaccinations are acceptable 2 weeks after birth.

Use in children under 1 year of age is recommended only if there is a real risk of infection.

Avoid intravascular administration.

Composition of

One vaccination dose for children from 1 year to 16 years (0.25 ml) contains:

Active ingredient - inactivated antigen of KE virus - titer of at least 1: 128

Excipients: human albumin (solution for infusion * 10 % or 20%) 0.125 mg, sucrose 15 mg, aluminum hydroxide 0.2 mg salts of the buffer system: sodium chloride 1.9 mg, trometamol 0.03 mg.

Dosage and Administration

The initial course of vaccination consists of three injections of the drug. 1st and 2nd injections are carried out in November-December, moreover, the 2nd no earlier than 14 days and no later than 30 days after the 1st 3rd injection - 3 months after the 2nd, but no later than 14 days before visiting the outbreak. For emergency prophylaxis, double vaccination with an interval of 30-60 days is recommended, but the last vaccination is not later than 14 days before reaching the outbreak. In the future, annual revaccination. If 2 vaccinations are missed, the entire course is carried out again. For adults and children over 6 years of age, the dose is 1 ml, for children aged 4-6 years - 0.5 ml per injection. The vaccine is administered only sc at the lower angle of the scapula. Side effects

Very rare and most likely with hypersensitivity to chicken protein, to other components of the vaccine: fever, headache in the first 2 days.

Local reactions are possible for no more than 5 days: a short burning sensation at the injection site, rarely - redness, soreness, development of infiltrate.

Drug Interactions

Can be used simultaneously with live and inactivated vaccines. The interval between the use of immunoglobulin against tick-borne encephalitis and the vaccine should be at least 4 weeks.
