Vaccine against viral hemorrhagic disease of rabbits Rabbiwak-V 10 doses (liquid) 10 ml
DESCRIPTION
Rabbiwak-V inactivated vaccine against viral hemorrhagic disease of rabbits. It is a light brown with a pink tint suspension of tissue inactivated by a physical method of the virus of rabbit hemorrhagic disease, sorbed on aluminum hydroxide. During storage, the vaccine forms a loose precipitate that easily breaks down when shaken.
PHARMACOLOGICAL PROPERTIES
The vaccine induces the formation of an immune response in rabbits to viral hemorrhagic disease 5-9 days after a single injection. The immunity intensity in animals is 12 months. The vaccine has no medicinal properties.
INDICATIONS
Assign to rabbits for the prevention of viral hemorrhagic disease in threatened and unfavorable for this disease farms and the private sector.
APPLICATION
Rabbiwak-V is administered to rabbits once in 1 dose (1 ml) intramuscularly into the back of the thigh or subcutaneously in compliance with the rules of asepsis and antiseptics. When using reusable syringes and needles, they must be sterilized by boiling for 15-20 minutes without using any chemicals. Before use, the vial with the vaccine must be thoroughly shaken until a homogeneous liquid is obtained. Clinically healthy animals are subject to vaccination, starting from 30-45 days of age. In disadvantaged areas after 3 months, it is recommended to re-immunize animals.
Violations of the vaccination schedule should be avoided, as this can lead to a decrease in the effectiveness of immunoprophylaxis of rabbit hemorrhagic disease. If the next vaccine injection is missed, it is necessary to immunize as soon as possible.
SIDE EFFECTS
In case of an overdose of the vaccine, the manifestation of hemorrhagic disease or other pathological signs has not been established. In rare cases, the vaccine can cause an allergic reaction. In this case, the use of the drug is discontinued and the animals are prescribed antihistamines or other symptomatic treatment.
CONTRAINDICATIONS
It is prohibited to use the Rabbiwak-V vaccine in conjunction with other immunobiological preparations, as well as to vaccinate animals with other vaccines within 14 days before and after the next immunization. Clinically sick and weakened animals are not subject to immunization.
SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS
Slaughter products and meat from vaccinated animals are sold without restriction, regardless of the timing of vaccination. Persons participating in the vaccination of animals must use protective clothing (rubber boots, gown, trousers, headwear and rubber gloves), as well as goggles. If the vaccine comes into contact with the skin and mucous membranes, it is recommended to rinse them with plenty of tap water. In case of a vaccine spill, a 5% solution of chloramine or sodium hydroxide is poured over the floor or soil in this place. In case of accidental administration of the drug to a person, the injection site must be treated with a 70% solution of ethyl alcohol, and then contact a medical institution, having with you instructions or a label for the drug.
