DESCRIPTION
Vaccine against salmonellosis, pasteurellosis and enterococcal infection of piglets associated inactivated.
COMPOSITION
The vaccine contains formalin-inactivated corpuscular antigens Sal. choleraesuis, Sal.typhimurium, P. multocida serovars A, B, D and Streptococcus serogroups C and R, adsorbed on aluminum oxide hydrate.
PHARMACOLOGICAL PROPERTIES
The vaccine causes the formation of specific immunity to the causative agents of salmonellosis, pasteurellosis and streptococcosis in piglets. The vaccine is harmless.
Piglets become immune in 10-12 days. after the introduction of the second dose of the vaccine and lasts up to 5 months.
INDICATIONS
It is intended for the prevention of diseases of young pigs with salmonellosis, pasteurellosis and streptococcosis caused by microbes of the genera Salmonella, Pasteurella and Streptococcus.
DOSAGE AND APPLICATION
The vaccine is used in dysfunctional and threatened by salmonellosis, pasteurellosis and streptococosis farms.
When using the vaccine in the cold season, the vials are heated in a water bath to a temperature of 30 to 360C. Before use, each vial of the vaccine is shaken until a homogeneous suspension appears. Before use, syringes and needles are sterilized by boiling for 20 minutes; a separate needle is used for each animal. The injection site is disinfected with 70% alcohol. Observe the rules of asepsis and antiseptics.
Specific prevention of salmonellosis, pasteurellosis and streptococcosis in piglets begins with the immunization of sows. The vaccine is injected twice intramuscularly behind the ear with an interval of 10-12 days. for 1.5-2.0 months before farrowing, taking into account body weight in doses: up to 100 kg - 5 cm3 each, up to 150 kg - 7-8 cm3 each, up to 200 kg and more - 10 cm3 each. Piglets from non-immune queens are vaccinated primarily at the age of 12-15 days. and again after 8-10 days. in a dose of 2 cm3, and from immune - respectively at the age of 25-28 and 33-38 days. in doses of 2 and 3 cm3. Revaccination is carried out at 90-100 days of age, 4 cm3.
SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS
Slaughter products of vaccinated animals are used without restrictions, regardless of the timing of vaccination.
CONTRAINDICATIONS
Clinically sick animals, as well as young animals lagging behind in growth and development, are not subject to vaccination.
SIDE EFFECTS
After the vaccine is administered, some piglets may experience general and local reactions. The general reaction is expressed by a short-term increase in temperature, depression and refusal to feed. These phenomena usually disappear after 24-48 hours. The local reaction manifests itself in the form of a slight swelling at the site of the vaccine administration, which disappears after 5-10 days.
Allergic reactions in individual piglets are not grounds for claims for the product.
SHELF LIFE AND STORAGE
The vaccine is suitable for use within 18 months from the date of manufacture, provided it is stored in a dry, dark place at a temperature of 2 to 150C.
