Vaccine against erysipelas of pigs from strain BP-2 live dry (20 doses) 1 bottle 10 ml

DESCRIPTION

Live dry vaccine against swine erysipelas from strain BP-2. In appearance, the vaccine is a dry, finely porous mass of whitish-yellow color, easily soluble in physiological solution.

COMPOSITION

The vaccine consists of a live culture of the vaccine strain Erysipelotrix rhusiopathiae BP-2, diluted in sucrose-peptone-gelatin medium in a ratio of at least 1: 1, packaged in 1 O cm3 in vials and freeze-dried.

BIOLOGICAL PROPERTIES

The vaccine induces the formation of an immune response to the pathogen of pig erysipelas in vaccinated animals 5-8 days after administration, which lasts for 6 months. One immunizing dose of the vaccine contains 200 million microbial cells of E. rhysiopathiae strain BP-2.

The vaccine is harmless and has no medicinal properties.

DOSAGE AND APPLICATION

The vaccine is used for prophylactic and compulsory immunization against erysipelas of pigs aged 2 months and older.

Before use, the vaccine is dissolved in saline in the amount indicated on the box label. One immunizing dose is dissolved in 1 cm3 of physiological solution.

The vaccine is administered intramuscularly behind the ear or on the inner side of the thigh: piglets, starting from 2 months of age at a dose of 1 cm3, again after 25-30 days and after 5 months at the same dose; pigs older than 4 months are vaccinated at a dose of 1 cm3 and revaccinated 5 months later at the same dose. Sows are vaccinated 15-20 days before insemination.

In case of forced vaccination in farms where there are already cases of swine erysipelas, sick animals are isolated and treated with antineoplastic serum and antibiotics. All other clinically healthy animals are vaccinated, regardless of the timing of the previous vaccination.

In case of detection of sick erysipelas among the forcedly immunized livestock of animals, they are isolated and treated with antineoplastic serum and antibiotics.

After recovery, they are revaccinated again no earlier than 14 days after the administration of serum and antibiotics.

Syringes and needles are sterilized by boiling. A separate sterile needle is used to vaccinate each animal. The injection site is disinfected with 70% ethanol solution.

SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS

The peculiarities of post-vaccination reactions during primary or re-immunization have not been established. Violations of the vaccination schedule of the livestock should be avoided, as this can lead to a decrease in the effectiveness of immunization of pigs.

If the vaccination schedule is not followed, cases of swine erysipelas are possible. If the next vaccine is missed, immunization should be carried out as soon as possible. All other clinically healthy animals are vaccinated, regardless of the timing of the previous vaccination.

Slaughter products and meat from vaccinated animals are used no earlier than 7 days after vaccination without restriction.

CONTRAINDICATIONS

It is forbidden to vaccinate animals with an elevated body temperature, weakened, emaciated, sick. Piglets are subject to vaccination from 2 months of age, pigs over 4 months of age and sows 15-20 days before insemination.

During the treatment of animals with the vaccine, it is not allowed to use antibiotics for 7 days before and after vaccination of pigs, so as not to interfere.

SIDE EFFECTS

After the introduction of the vaccine, some animals may experience an increase in body temperature up to 40.5 В° C, some depression and temporary refusal to feed. The reaction lasts 1-2 days and, as a rule, does not require medical intervention.

SHELF LIFE AND STORAGE

The shelf life of the vaccine is 12 months from the date of issue, subject to the storage and transportation conditions. After the expiration date, the vaccine is not suitable for use.

The vaccine is stored and transported in a dry dark place at a temperature from 4 В° C to 10 В° C.

PACKAGING

The vaccine is produced in 10 ml vials with a capacity of 20 cm3, containing 20 doses, sealed with rubber stoppers, reinforced with metal caps. Vials with vaccine are packed in boxes of 10 vials. Each box contains instructions for using the drug. Vaccine boxes are packed in crates.
