Uteroton 100ml
DESCRIPTION
Uteroton is an injection solution for the treatment and prevention of gynecological diseases in cows and metritis-mastitis-agalactia syndrome in sows. In appearance, the drug is a clear, colorless liquid.
COMPOSITION
1 ml of the drug contains as active ingredients: 5 mg of anaprilin (propranolol hydrochloride), as well as 2 mg of sodium metabisulfite, 5 mg of chloroetone, citric acid to pH 3.5 В± 0.5 and distilled water to 1 ml.
PHARMACOLOGICAL PROPERTIES
Pharmacological group -? -Adrenolytics.
Uteroton has a blocking effect on the beta-adrenergic receptors of the myometrium, which contributes to the manifestation of endogenous oxytocin activity, as a result of which the contractions of the smooth muscles of the uterus and the mammary gland increase.
It is an antagonist of catecholamines, has a pronounced anti-stress effect. The drug belongs to low-hazard substances (IV hazard class according to GOST 12.1.007-76).
DOSAGE AND APPLICATION
Uteroton is used to stimulate labor in atony, hypotonia of the uterus, to prevent the retention of the placenta, subinvolution of the uterus, to increase fertility, to extract embryos from donor cows, as part of a complex therapy for the treatment of postpartum endometritis in cows and metritis-mastitis-agalactia syndrome in sows.
Uteroton is administered intramuscularly or intravenously: at a dose of 10 ml per animal to stimulate labor and prevent postpartum complications, once on the day of delivery; when retaining the placenta three times with an interval of 12 hours for the treatment of subinvolution of the uterus and postpartum endometritis three times with an interval of 24 hours in combination with other drugs. At a dose of 5 ml per animal: for the prevention of metritis-mastitis-agalactia syndrome in sows - once immediately after delivery; with artificial insemination to increase fertilization once 20 - 30 minutes before the procedure; when removing embryos from donor cows 10 - 15 minutes before washing out.
SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS
Overdose symptoms: decreased heart rate, hypotension, bronchospasm, muscle weakness. With the development of pronounced side effects, especially persistent bradycardia, as a result of an overdose, a solution of atropine sulfate (1-2 mg) is slowly injected intravenously and a ОІ-adrenostimulator isadrin (25 mg) or orciprenaline (0.5 mg) is used.
If you skip taking one or more doses of the drug, use is carried out according to the same scheme in accordance with this instruction. You should not enter a double dose to compensate for the missed dose.
The drug should not be used simultaneously with adrenergic agonists (Xylazine, Xylanit, Rometar, Rompun), because anaprilin lengthens the action of non-depolarizing muscle relaxants. Sedatives and hypnotics, when used simultaneously with anaprilin, increase the depressing effect on the central nervous system.
With intravenous and intramuscular administration of iodine-containing drugs while taking anaprilin, the risk of anaphylactic reactions increases.
Meat and milk of animals for food purposes are used without restrictions.
CONTRAINDICATIONS
Uteroton is contraindicated for use during pregnancy and in the pathological location of the fetus.

SHELF LIFE AND STORAGE
The medicinal product is stored in the manufacturer's closed packaging, separately from food and feed, in a dry place protected from direct sunlight at a temperature of 5 В° C to 25 В° C.
The shelf life of a medicinal product, subject to storage conditions in a sealed package, is 2 years from the date of production, after opening the package - no more than 14 days.
