DESCRIPTION
Urospan is a veterinary drug for dogs and cats as a urolithic and antispasmodic agent. In appearance, the drug is a sterile transparent liquid, light yellow in color.

PHARMACOLOGICAL PROPERTIES
Urospan belongs to the combined homeopathic veterinary drugs.
The homeopathic components included in the preparation have antispasmodic, urolitic and diuretic effects, help to reduce the density and destruction of stones contained in the kidneys and bladder.
Madder dye (rubia tinctorium) - the therapeutic properties of madder dye are due to the content of ruberitric acid, haliosin, rubiadin, purpurin, ibericin and alizarin, which have a diuretic, anti-inflammatory and urolitic effect.
Common barberry (berberis vulgaris) contains the alkaloid berberine, which has an antispasmodic effect.
The active ingredients that make up urospan have a synergistic effect.
PURPOSE
Urospan is used in dogs and cats as an urolithic and antispasmodic agent for urolithiasis, acute and chronic inflammatory processes in the kidneys and bladder.
DOSAGE AND APPLICATION
Urospan is used subcutaneously or intramuscularly at a dosage of 0.1 cm3 per 1 kg of animal weight.
In case of obstruction of the urinary tract, Urospan is used subcutaneously every 8 hours after the onset of symptoms of acute urinary retention and within 24 hours after the provision of surgical assistance (cystocentesis, catheterization, etc.). In the future, urospan is used 2 times a day with an interval of 12 hours for 7 days.
In order to reduce the density and destruction of stones in the urinary tract, Urospan is administered intramuscularly 1 time per day for 30 days.
In the complex therapy of inflammatory diseases of the urinary tract (cystitis, urethritis, pyelonephritis), Urospan is used intramuscularly 1 time per day for 7-10 days.
SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS
Skipping the use of the next dose of the drug should be avoided, as this can lead to a decrease in therapeutic efficacy. If one or more doses of the drug are missed, treatment must be resumed as soon as possible in the prescribed dose and regimen.
During the use of the drug, urine may turn red, which is due to the action of madder dye and is not a reason for discontinuing the drug.
CONTRAINDICATIONS
In case of allergic reactions, the use of the drug is discontinued and, if necessary, antihistamines (diphenhydramine), calcium preparations are prescribed, symptomatic treatment is carried out.

When using Urospan in accordance with the instructions, no adverse reactions and complications are observed.
SHELF LIFE AND STORAGE
The drug is stored in the manufacturer's sealed packaging, in places inaccessible to children, separately from food and feed, in a dry place protected from direct sunlight at temperatures from + 5 В° C to + 25 В° C.
The shelf life of the drug, subject to storage and transportation conditions, is 2 years from the date of production. The shelf life of the drug after opening the bottle is ns more than 48 hours. Urospan must not be used after the expiration date.
PACKAGING
Urospan is produced in 20 ml packs in dark glass vials of the appropriate capacity, sealed with rubber stoppers, reinforced with aluminum caps. Vials of 20 ml are packed in individual cardboard boxes. Each packing unit is supplied with instructions for use.
