Treatment of urgency urinary incontinence, urgency urge to urinate and urinary frequency in uncomplicated forms of overactive bladder in women in menopause and postmenopausal periods

The drug is used rectally after a bowel movement or a cleansing enema. After moistening the suppository with water, inject it deep into the anus.

Apply 1 suppository 2 times a day (morning and evening). After administration of the drug, it is desirable for the patient to stay in bed for 30-40 minutes.

The duration of treatment is 5-10 days. According to indications, repeated courses are possible; it is recommended to carry out no earlier than in 2-4 weeks.

Translucent rectal suppositories with possible marbling, almost colorless or with a yellowish or grayish tint, torpedo-shaped; slight softening of the surface layer and 'sweating' of the blister strip are allowed; an air rod or funnel-shaped recess is allowed.

Medicinal product of animal origin. Has an organotropic effect on the prostate gland. Reduces the degree of edema, leukocyte infiltration of the prostate gland, normalizes the secretory function of epithelial cells, increases the number of lecithin grains in the secretion of the acini, stimulates the muscle tone of the bladder. Reduces thrombosis, has antiplatelet activity, prevents the development of venule thrombosis in the prostate gland. Normalizes the parameters of the prostate gland and ejaculate. Reduces pain and discomfort, eliminates dysuric phenomena, improves copulatory function.

Improves microcirculation of blood in the bladder wall due to the expansion of intact vessels (vasodilation effect), which helps to restore oxygen delivery to tissues in a state of hypoxia; this stimulates physiological repair. It has an anti-inflammatory effect by improving the processes of trophism of the bladder wall and stimulating regenerative processes. Activation of organ blood flow improves the adaptive and contractile activity of the detrusor, increasing the capacity of the bladder. A decrease in detrusor ischemia can be explained by a pronounced decrease in bladder hyperactivity, which continues after the end of the use of the drug containing prostate extract.

Pharmacokinetics

As a peptide substance, it is cleaved by cellular proteases to amino acids. Does not have a cumulative effect.

Side effect

Allergic reactions: very rarely - urticaria.

When used rectally: often - itching of the anus; infrequently - diarrhea, flatulence.

Application in children

The use is contraindicated under the age of 18 years.

Preparations containing prostate gland extract are not interchangeable, therefore, the indications for use for each of them should be strictly observed.

Before starting treatment for chronic prostatitis and, if necessary, during treatment, it is recommended to analyze the secretion of the prostate gland.
