Urolithin C 10ml
DESCRIPTION
Urolitin-S (Urolitin-S) is a drug for the prevention and treatment of urological syndrome and urolithiasis in unproductive animals (dogs and cats). The drug is a sterile liquid from light brown to dark brown in color with a mint smell.
COMPOSITION
100.0 cm3 of the preparation contains 0.82 g of sodium acetate, 0.03 cm3 of acetic acid, 5.0 g of peppermint extract and a base of polyvinylpyrrolidone and distilled water.
PHARMACOLOGICAL PROPERTIES
Urolithin-C has a pronounced urolitic and bacteriostatic effect, which helps to reduce inflammatory processes in the urinary system of animals, and also accelerates remission processes and reduces the duration of the acute phase of urolithiasis by 1-3 days.
Sodium acetate and acetic acid, when interacting with struvite crystals (tripel phosphates), act according to the principle of a buffer system, shifting the alkaline pH of the crystals to the acidic side, which leads to their dissolution, while not irritating the mucous membrane.
Mint extract (contains menthol in the composition of essential oils, as well as ascorbic acid (vitamin C), carotene, rutin, betaine and jasmon and a number of other biologically active substances) relieves tension in smooth muscles, acts as an antiseptic, antispasmodic, hemostatic and analgesic agent, reduces swelling of the mucous membrane of the bladder and urethra.
PURPOSE
Urolithin-C is used for the treatment of animal urological syndrome (ULS), for dissolving struvite (tripelephosphate) complexes in the bladder, urethra and for blockage by the above animal complexes.
DOSAGE AND APPLICATION
Urolithin-C in a volume of 0.5 - 2 ml is injected through a urinary catheter into the urethra with a syringe, after which a pause is maintained for 2 - 3 minutes. As a rule, one injection of the drug is enough to dissolve the salt plug, if there is no effect, the procedure must be repeated. Then the catheter is sutured.
Further, it is necessary to flush the bladder with solutions of 1% dioxidine and 0.5% novocaine or 0.9% sodium chloride. After washing, Urolitin-C is injected at 3 - 5 ml for every 5 kg of animal weight and a pause of 3 - 5 minutes is maintained. This achieves the dissolution of struvite crystals (tripel phosphates) in the bladder and acidification of urine.
During the acute phase (with a sewn catheter), Urolitin-C should be injected once a day into the empty bladder at a dose of 3 - 5 ml per 5 kg of animal weight to dissolve the primary struvite crystals (tripel phosphates) coming from the kidneys or formed in the urinary bladder ...
