• in the complex therapy of acute and chronic infections of the urinary tract and kidneys (cystitis, pyelonephritis);

• urolithiasis disease;

• cholelithiasis;

• chronic cholecystitis;

• dyskinesia of the biliary tract of the hyperkinetic type.

Urolesan is used orally, before meals, 1 capsule 3 times a day. In case of renal and hepatic colic, a single dose can be increased once to 2 capsules, then at subsequent doses return to the usual single dose (1 capsule).

The capsules should be taken without chewing with a little water. In acute conditions (including renal and hepatic colic), the duration of the course of therapy is from 5 to 7 days, in chronic conditions - up to 1 month. An increase in the duration and a repeated course of treatment is possible only on the recommendation of a doctor.

Urolesan extract is thick, in terms of moisture content 10% - 10.70 mg (in terms of dry matter: wild carrot seed extract - 1.84 mg, hop seed extract - 6.33 mg, oregano herb extract - 1.46 mg);

peppermint leaves oil - 7.46 mg;

fir oil - 25.50 mg;

Excipients:

magnesium hydroxycarbonate (heavy magnesium carbonate) - 131.96 mg,

lactose monohydrate (tabletose-80) - 50.10 mg,

castor oil - 35.15 mg,

magnesium aluminometasilicate (neusilin UFL2) - 27.11 mg,

talc - 6.38 mg,

potato starch - 5.62 mg,

disodium edetate dihydrate (Trilon B) - 0.02 mg.

• hypersensitivity to drug components;

• lactose intolerance, lactase deficiency or glucose-galactase malabsorption;

• hyperacid gastritis, gastric ulcer and duodenal ulcer;

• the diameter of kidney stones exceeds 3 mm;

• age up to 18 years.

pharmachologic effect

Urolesan is an antispasmodic herbal remedy. The drug has an antispasmodic, anti-inflammatory, antiseptic effect, enhances bile formation and bile secretion, increases urine output, acidifies urine, increases the excretion of urea and chlorides.

Urolesan is a complex of biologically active components; therefore, its pharmacokinetic studies are not possible.

Application during pregnancy and lactation

The use of the drug during pregnancy and during breastfeeding is contraindicated (efficacy and safety have not been studied).

Side effects

From the digestive system: dyspeptic symptoms (heartburn, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea).

Allergic reactions: itching, facial redness, skin rash, angioedema (sore throat, difficulty breathing, swelling of the face, tongue).

From the side of the central and peripheral nervous system: dizziness, general weakness.

From the side of the cardiovascular system: increase / decrease in blood pressure.

Overdose

Possible increased dose-related side effects (including nausea, vomiting, dizziness).

Symptomatic treatment: abundant warm drink, rest, activated carbon, atropine sulfate.
