DESCRIPTION
Tympanol (Timpanolum) - an emulsion for internal use for the treatment of tympania in ruminants. In appearance, the drug is a liquid from gray to yellow-green in color with a specific odor (during storage, the formation of a precipitate is allowed, which disappears when shaken).
COMPOSITION
Tympanol in 100 ml contains as active ingredients: hellebore alkaloids - 0.0040 - 0.0060% (in terms of protoveratrin), sesquiterpene lactones of wormwood - not less than 0.012%, as auxiliary substances: aerosil 0.019 g, organosilicon antifoam 0, 93 g, lactic acid 3.0 g, polyvinyl alcohol 2.45 g, distilled or drinking water up to 100 ml.
PHARMACOLOGICAL PROPERTIES
Tympanol belongs to the pharmacotherapeutic group of drugs that affect the digestive tract.
Tympanol prevents gas formation, destroys the formed gas bubbles, has an antiseptic and ruminatory effect, increases the secretion and peristalsis of the digestive tract, relaxes the tone of the proventricular sphincters, which ensures the rapid movement of the contents along the gastrointestinal tract. According to the degree of impact on the body, Tympanol according to GOST 12.1.007-76 belongs to low-hazard substances (hazard class 4).
DOSAGE AND APPLICATION
Tympanol is used to treat tympania in ruminants.
Tympanol is administered orally using a rubber bottle or esophageal tube directly into the rumen cavity.
Tympanol is prescribed in doses: for cattle - 0.4 - 0.5 ml / kg of animal body weight; goats and sheep - 0.5-1.0 ml / kg of animal body weight.
Before use, Tympanol is diluted with water in a ratio of 1:10 - 1:15, having previously shaken until a homogeneous liquid is obtained.
If the symptoms of the disease do not disappear within 15 - 20 minutes after the injection of Tympanol, the drug is administered to the animal again in the same doses, but at a dilution of 1: 5 - 1:10.
SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS
Overdose symptoms have not been identified in animals.
The peculiarities of the action of the drug during the first administration or its withdrawal have not been established.
Violation of the drug use regimen should be avoided, as this can lead to a decrease in therapeutic efficacy. If one dose is missed, the use of the drug should be resumed in the same dose according to the same scheme.
Tympanol can be used in combination with other drugs.
Products of animal origin obtained during and after the use of Tympanol are allowed to be used without restrictions.
CONTRAINDICATIONS
A contraindication to the use of the drug is the increased individual sensitivity of the animal to the components of the drug (including a history).
SIDE EFFECTS
Tympanol does not cause side effects and complications in animals when used in accordance with this instruction.
SHELF LIFE AND STORAGE
Store the drug in the packaging of the manufacturer, separately from food and feed, in a dry place protected from direct sunlight, at a temperature from 0 to 20 В° C.
The shelf life of the medicinal product, subject to storage conditions, is 18 months from the date of production.
