Treatment of acute and chronic ear infections:
- external otitis media;
- acute and chronic otitis media.
Prevention of infectious otitis media before and after surgery, with ear injuries, removal of a foreign body from the external auditory canal, accompanied by damage to the ear tissues.
Before using the drug, you should sanitize the external auditory canal (rinse and dry the auditory canal).
The drug is instilled in 5 drops into the external auditory canal 3 times / day.
The drops should be heated to body temperature. After the symptoms of the disease disappear, treatment should be continued for 48 hours. After instilling the drops, you should keep your head in a tilted position for 2 minutes. Can be placed in the external auditory canal with cotton wool.
Ear drops 0.3% in the form of a transparent, viscous, from colorless to colorless with a slightly yellowish tinge solution.
1 ml ciprofloxacin (in the form of lactate) 3 mg
Excipients: benzalkonium chloride, lactic acid, propylene glycol
Hypersensitivity to the components of the drug or to other quinolones.
Not recommended for use during pregnancy, lactation (breastfeeding),
children under the age of 15.
pharmachologic effect
Antimicrobial drug from the group of fluoroquinolones. Has a bactericidal effect. The mechanism of action is due to the inhibition of the enzyme DNA gyrase of bacteria, as a result of which DNA replication and the synthesis of bacterial cellular proteins are disrupted. Tsipromed acts on both multiplying and dormant bacteria. Tsipromed is active against gram-negative bacteria: Escherichia coli, Salmonella spp., Proteus spp. (indole-positive and indole-negative strains), Morganella morganii, Citrobacter spp., Klebsiella spp., Enterobacter spp., Yersinia spp., Vibrio spp., Campylobacter spp., Hafnia spp., Providencia stuartii, Haemophilteus influenza , Pseudomonas spp., Gardnerella spp., Legionella pneumophila, Neisseria spp., Moraxella catarrhalis, Acinetobacter spp., Brucella spp., Chlamydia spp .;gram-positive bacteria: Staphylococcus spp., Streptococcus pyogenes, Streptococcus agalactiae, Corynebacterium diphtheriae, Listeria monocitogenes.
Pharmacokinetics
Pharmacokinetic studies of the drug Tsipromed have not been conducted due to low systemic absorption.
Side effect
In some cases, allergic reactions may develop.
Application during pregnancy and lactation
Tsipromed is not recommended for use during pregnancy and lactation (breastfeeding).
Overdose
When using ear drops, there were no cases of overdose. In case of accidental ingestion, there are no specific symptoms, possibly nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, headache, dizziness, anxiety. Treatment: it is necessary to ensure a sufficient supply of fluid, maintaining an acidic urine reaction to prevent crystalluria. If necessary, symptomatic therapy is performed.
Drug interactions
The solution of ciprofloxacin is incompatible with drugs with a pH value of 3-4, which are physically and chemically unstable.
