DESCRIPTION

Tsipromag is a drug containing ciprofloxacin as an active ingredient, as well as auxiliary substances and water for injection.

COMPOSITION

1 ml of the drug contains 100 mg of ciprofloxacin. It is a clear liquid from light yellow to yellow.

PHARMACOLOGICAL PROPERTIES

Ciprofloxacin is a broad-spectrum fluoroquinolone with the highest activity against aerobic gram-negative bacteria. Ciprofloxacin is an antimicrobial compound with a bactericidal action. Like other fluorinated and non-fluorinated quinolones, ciprofloxacin is characterized by a mechanism of action on a microbial cell that is fundamentally different from the mechanism of action of antimicrobial agents of other chemical groups, including antibiotics. This determines the activity of ciprofloxacin against bacterial strains that are resistant to other antimicrobial agents.

The drug provides a long-term postantibiotic effect, and when exposed to subinhibitory concentrations, it causes a disruption of the normal function of the microbial cell. The drug is active against microorganisms, which are characterized by intracellular localization in the infected organism. The drug is active against bacteria of the following species: E.coli, Haemophilus, Klebsiella, Pasteurella, Pseudomonas, Proteus, Bordetella, Brucella, Chlamydia, Enterobacter Campylobacter, Erysipelothris, Corynebacterium, Staphylococcus, Streptococcus, Mycobacterium, Actinobacterium, Mycobacterium, Actinobacterium and Bacillus anthracis.

When administered intramuscularly, ciprofloxacin quickly enters the bloodstream and penetrates into almost all organs and tissues, reaching a maximum concentration 0.5-1 hour after administration. After a single injection, the therapeutic concentration of ciprofloxacin remains in the body for at least 24 hours. Ciprofloxacin is excreted mainly in the urine.

APPLICATION

The drug is used to treat cattle and small cattle, pigs, dogs, cats and rabbits with bronchopneumonia, colibacillosis, salmonellosis, pasteurellosis, mycoplasmosis and other diseases caused by microorganisms sensitive to fluoroquinolones, as well as for the treatment of atrophic rhinitis, enzootic syndrome metritis agalactia in pigs. The drug is administered intramuscularly or subcutaneously to all types of animals, both adults and young animals. For pigs, the drug is administered intramuscularly 1 time per day for 3-5 days, and in the treatment of mastitis-metritis-agalactia of sows within 1-2 days.

In view of a possible painful reaction, the drug should be injected into one place for large animals no more than 5 ml and for small animals no more than 2.5 ml.

After opening the vials, the remnants of the drug are disposed of in the prescribed manner.

SIDE EFFECTS

Slaughter of animals for meat is allowed no earlier than 14 days after the last use of the drug. The meat of animals that were forcedly killed before the expiration of the specified period can be used for feeding fur animals or for the production of meat and bone meal.

CONTRAINDICATIONS

It is not allowed to use the drug in lactating animals. The drug is not recommended for the treatment of dogs under the age of 12 months due to the possibility of cartilage damage in the knee joints, as well as for animals during pregnancy, lactation and with increased sensitivity to fluoroquinolones. It is not recommended to use the drug simultaneously with chloramphenicol, macrolides, tetracyclines, theophylline or with non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs.

PRECAUTIONS

When working with the drug Tsipromag, you should follow the general rules of personal hygiene and safety measures provided for when working with medicinal products for animals. Do not use empty vials from under the drug for household purposes.

STORAGE

Store the drug in a closed manufacturer's packaging separately from feed and food products in a dry, dark place, out of reach of children, at a temperature of 5 В° C to 25 В° C. Shelf life, subject to storage conditions, is 2 years from the date of manufacture. It is forbidden to use the medicinal product after its expiration date.

PACKING

The drug is produced in the form of a solution for injection, packaged in 100 ml each in glass vials of appropriate capacity. The vials are sealed with rubber stoppers and reinforced with aluminum caps.
