pharmachologic effect
Troxevasin® is a flavonoid (rutin derivative).
Possesses P-vitamin activity
has a venotonic, venoprotective, decongestant, anti-inflammatory, anticoagulant and antioxidant effect.
Reduces capillary permeability and fragility, increases their tone.
Increases the density of the vascular wall, reduces the exudation of the liquid part of the plasma and diapedesis of blood cells.
Reduces inflammation in the vascular wall, limiting the adhesion of platelets to its surface.
Pharmacokinetics
When the gel is applied to the affected area, the active substance quickly penetrates the epidermis, after 30 minutes it is found in the dermis, and after 2-5 hours in the subcutaneous fat.
Indications for use
- varicose veins
- chronic venous insufficiency with symptoms such as: swelling and pain in the legs
feeling of heaviness, fullness, tired legs
spider veins and reticules, convulsions, paresthesias
- thrombophlebitis
- periphlebitis
- varicose dermatitis
- pain and swelling of a traumatic nature (with bruises, sprains, injuries).
Contraindications for use
- violation of the integrity of the skin
- hypersensitivity to the drug.
Dosage regimen
Outwardly.
The gel is applied to the affected area 2 times / day in the morning and in the evening, rubbing gently until completely absorbed.
If necessary, the gel can be applied under bandages or elastic stockings.
The success of drug treatment depends to a large extent on its regular use for a long time.
Recommended to be combined with Troxevasin® capsules to enhance the effect.
If the symptoms of the course of the disease worsen or do not go away after 6-7 days of daily use of the drug, the patient should consult a doctor.
Overdose
Due to the external method of application and the large therapeutic breadth of the drug, there is no danger of an overdose.
If a large amount of gel is accidentally swallowed, it is necessary to carry out general measures to remove the drug from the body (emetics) and consult a doctor.
Peritoneal dialysis is performed if indicated.
Side effect
In rare cases, allergic skin reactions are observed - urticaria, eczema, dermatitis.
Drug interactions
Currently, there are no data on drug interactions for Troxevasin®.
Application during pregnancy and lactation
There are no data on undesirable effects on the fetus and newborn when using the drug.
Special instructions The gel is applied only to an undamaged surface.
Avoid contact with open wounds, eyes and mucous membranes.
In conditions characterized by increased vascular permeability (including scarlet fever, influenza, measles, allergic reactions), the gel is used in combination with ascorbic acid to enhance its effect.
Influence on the ability to drive vehicles and control mechanisms Troxevasin® gel does not affect the ability to drive a vehicle and work with moving mechanisms.
