DESCRIPTION

Trisulfone is a sulfonamide preparation for all types of pets: for the treatment of diseases of the respiratory tract, gastrointestinal tract, and urinary tract.

In appearance, it is a white, free-flowing odorless powder.

COMPOSITION

100 g of trisulfone contains: sulfamonomethoxin - 4 g and trimethoprim - 2 g.

PHARMACOLOGICAL PROPERTIES

Trisulfone has a wide spectrum of antibacterial action due to the components that make up the drug: sulfamonomethoxin is effective against gram-positive and gram-negative microorganisms, including pasteurella, toxoplasma, salmonella, dysentery bacillus. Trimethoprim enhances and expands the antibacterial effect of sulfamonomethoxin, the bacteriostatic effect becomes bactericidal, which persists in the body for over 48 hours.

INDICATIONS

Trisulfone is used for all types of domestic animals for diseases caused by microorganisms sensitive to sulfamonomethoxin and trimethoprim: diseases of the respiratory tract, digestive tract, urinary tract, secondary infections in viral diseases. Calves, kids and lambs - diarrhea, colisepticemia, polyarthritis caused by streptococci, salmonellosis, pasteurellosis, pneumonia, abscesses caused by staphylococci. Pigs - colibacillosis, coccidiosis, atrophic rhinitis, salmonellosis, pasteurellosis, toxoplasmosis, hemophilic pleuropneumonia. Poultry - coccidiosis, pasteurellosis, colisepticemia, salmonellosis, staphylococcosis, infectious rhinitis. Rabbits - coccidiosis, staphylococcosis, salmonellosis.

APPLICATION

Calves, kids, lambs and pigs are given the drug with feed for 5 days at a daily dose of 10 g per 40 kg of animal body weight. A prerequisite during the treatment period is a sufficient amount of drinking water for the animals. The drug is given to poultry and rabbits with drinking water at a dose, respectively: 200 g per 100 l of water and 8 g per 1 l of water for 5 days. The solution is prepared on the day of its application.

SIDE EFFECTS

In case of an overdose, a disorder of the digestive function is possible.

CONTRAINDICATIONS

Impaired renal function.

STORAGE

Store in a place protected from moisture, light and out of reach of children at a temperature not exceeding 25 В° C. The shelf life is 3 years.
