Pharmacological action

Cough tablets have an expectorant effect, having a moderate irritating effect on the receptors of the gastric mucosa, reflexively increase the secretion of bronchial glands. The alkaloids contained in the grass of thermopsis (cytisine, methylcytisine, pachycarpin, anagirin, thermopsin, thermopsidin) have an exciting effect on the respiratory and, in high doses, on the emetic centers. Sodium bicarbonate stimulates the secretion of bronchial glands, helps to reduce the viscosity of sputum.

Indications

As part of complex therapy: tracheitis, bronchitis.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to the components of the drug.

Peptic ulcer of the stomach and duodenum (in the acute phase).

Pregnancy.

Lactation.

Children's age (up to 12 years).

Composition

1 tablet contains:

Active ingredients: lanceolum grass thermopsis powder - 0.0067 g, sodium bicarbonate - 0.250 g

Excipients: potato starch, talc.

Dosage and Administration

Inside. Adults are prescribed 1 tablet 3 times a day for 3-5 days. Children over 12 years old - 1/2 -1 tablet 3 times a day for 3-5 days. Duration of treatment - on the recommendation of a doctor.

Overdose of

Symptoms: vomiting.

Treatment: symptomatic.
