Prevention and treatment of fungal skin infections, including:

- mycoses of the feet ('fungus' of the foot),

- inguinal epidermophytosis,

- fungal infections of the smooth skin of the body caused by dermatophytes (trichophytosis, microsporia, epidermophytosis, rubrophytosis).

Versicolor versicolor caused by dimorphic fungi. Diaper rash caused by mold.

Outwardly.

Adults. Thermikon Ѓ spray can be applied 1 or 2 times a day, depending on the indication.

Before using the drug, thoroughly clean and dry the affected skin.

To ensure uniform spraying of the contents, first make a few short presses on the spray nozzle.

The drug is applied to the affected areas of the skin and adjacent areas of healthy skin in an amount sufficient to moisturize them.

The frequency of application of the drug and the duration of treatment:

- dermatomycosis of the trunk, legs: 1 time per day for 1 week;

- dermatomycosis of the feet: once a day for 1 week;

- versicolor versicolor: 2 times a day for 1 week;

- epidermophytosis groin, diaper rash caused by molds: 1 time per day for 1 week.

Spray for external use 1% in the form of a clear, colorless or light yellow liquid with a characteristic odor of ethyl alcohol.

terbinafine hydrochloride

Excipients: ethanol (rectified ethyl alcohol), propylene glycol, poloxamer, purified water.

• Hypersensitivity to terbinafine or to excipients that make up the drug,

• children under 18 years of age.

Pharmacodynamics

Antifungal drug for topical use with a broad spectrum of antifungal activity. In low concentrations, terbinafine has a fungicidal effect against dermatophytes (Trychophyton rubrum, T. mentagrophytes, T. verrucosum, T. violaceum, T. tonsurans, Microsporum canis, Epidermophyton floccosum), molds, certain dimorphic (Pityrosporum orbiculare) and yeast mostly Sandida albicans). Activity against yeast fungi, depending on their type, can be fungicidal or fungistatic. Terbinafine specifically alters the early stage of sterol biosynthesis that occurs in fungi. This leads to a deficiency of ergosterol and to intracellular accumulation of squalene, which causes the death of the fungal cell. Terbinafine works by inhibiting the enzyme squalene epoxidase,located on the cell membrane of the fungus. Terbinafine has no effect on the cytochrome P450 system in humans and, accordingly, on the metabolism of hormones or other drugs.

Pharmokinetics

When applied topically, absorption is less than 5%, it has a slight systemic effect.

Overdose

No cases of drug overdose have been reported. If by chance Thermikon Ѓ spray is taken orally, one can expect the development of the same side effects as with an overdose of Thermicon Ѓ tablets (headache, nausea, epigastric pain and dizziness). You should also take into account the content of ethyl alcohol in the preparation. Treatment: activated carbon, if necessary, symptomatic supportive therapy.

Side effects

In places where the drug is applied, redness, itching or burning sensation may appear. Allergic reactions.
