DESCRIPTION

Terramycin is a broad-spectrum antibiotic against many types of gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria that cause skin infections.

COMPOSITION

Aerosol spray for topical application contains 4.0 g of oxytetracycline hydrochloride (3.92%) in 150 ml of the drug as an active ingredient.

PHARMACOLOGICAL PROPERTIES

Broad-spectrum antibiotic. The drug is effective against many types of Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria that cause skin infections (Fusobacterium necroforum (syn. Spaeroforus necroforus, Fusiformis necroforus), F. Nodosus, etc.). The drug dissolves easily in blood serum and body fluids. Firmly fixed on the infected area. The effect of the drug after a single treatment lasts for 7 days.

INDICATIONS

Terramycin is intended for local treatment and prevention of skin diseases caused by bacteria sensitive to oxytetracycline in cattle, sheep, goats, pigs, horses, dogs, cats, rabbits, etc. In cases of deep and infected wounds, local treatment is recommended to be combined with a comprehensive therapy. And also the drug is intended for the treatment of wounds of traumatic origin; surgical wounds (castration, caesarean section, dehorning, docking of tails, ears, etc.); abrasions, scratches, puncture wounds; udder lesions during mechanical milking; necrobacteriosis of cattle and sheep; bacterial infections accompanying parasitic dermatitis; skin diseases.

APPLICATION

Before applying the drug, it is recommended to clean the treated surface from pus, wound exudate, necrotic tissue, remove hair, etc. Before using the can, it is necessary to shake well and spray the drug from a distance of 18–20 cm from the affected area for 2-3 seconds.

The balloon is designed so that the drug can be sprayed even when the balloon is upside down. The drug is recommended for a single treatment of the affected area. It is recommended to reapply the preparation no earlier than 7 days later. The amount of sprayed preparation is determined based on the area of ​​the lesion.
