Pharmacodynamics

EFFEX® Tribulus is a herbal remedy obtained from the aerial part of creeping tribulus (Tribulus terrestris L.), contains mainly steroidal saponins of the furostanol type. It has a general tonic effect and stimulates some functions of the reproductive system. In men, it restores and improves sexual libido, lengthens the erection time. Stimulates spermatogenesis by increasing sperm count and motility. The mechanism of action of the creeping tribulus extract is unknown. The predominant compound protodioscin is thought to be metabolized in the body to dehydroepiandrosterone (DHEA), which has beneficial effects on immunity, cell membrane integrity, erectile function, and cholesterol metabolism. It is known that cholesterol is the precursor for the synthesis of all steroids, including DHEA,testosterone and estradiol, which explains the hypolipidemic effect of the drug. Other active furostanol saponins found in Tribulus creeping extract are likely to modulate the effect of protodioscin. Indications

The drug is used in complex therapy for:

- erectile dysfunction, including accompanied by a decrease in libido

Contraindications
