DESCRIPTION

Surfagon (Surfagon) - a drug for the treatment of gynecological diseases in female farm animals and to increase fertility. The drug is a clear, colorless liquid. Preparative form: injection solution.

COMPOSITION

A hormonal drug containing 5mcg of surfagon in 1ml of the drug, excipients: 9mg of sodium chloride, 0.5mg of nipagin, as well as water for injection up to 1ml.

PHARMACOLOGICAL PROPERTIES

Surfagon stimulates the release of pituitary gonadotropic hormones luteinizing (LH) and follicle-stimulating hormones (FSH) into the blood with a peak 2-3 hours after administration. The increased content of gonadotropins in the blood persists for 3-4 hours after administration. The specific activity of Surfagon is approximately 50 times higher than that of the natural releasing hormone luliberin, which ensures its stronger biological effect on the gonadotropic function of the pituitary gland. This allows you to use Surfagon in micro doses and short courses.

According to the degree of impact on the body, it belongs to moderately hazardous substances (hazard class 3 GOST 12.1.007-76).

PURPOSE

Surfagon is used: for early induction of the sexual cycle. For the treatment of hypofunction and ovarian follicular cysts. To prevent early embryonic mortality. To increase the fertility of female farm animals.

APPLICATION

Surfagon is administered intramuscularly. Administration time, frequency and dose depend on the indications for use and the type of animals.

For early induction of the sexual cycle in cows, Surfagon is administered once at a dose of 50 Ојg, 8-12 days after calving. Despite the arrival of animals in the hunt, they are inseminated not earlier than 45 days after calving.

For the treatment of a mild form of ovarian hypofunction in cows, Surfagon is administered twice: the first time - on days 8-12 of the sexual cycle at a dose of 50 Ојg, again - after 10 days at the same dose.

With a more pronounced form of ovarian hypofunction, 10 ml of a 1% oily solution of progesterone is injected intramuscularly on days 1, 3 and 5, and Surfagon at a dose of 50 Ојg on the 7th day. Animals are inseminated as they come into the hunt.

For the treatment of follicular cysts in cows, Surfagon is administered three times with an interval of 24 hours at a dose of 25 Ојg. On the 11th day after the first injection of the drug, Magestrofan or Estrofan is injected intramuscularly twice with an interval of 10-12 hours at a dose of 500 Ојg. Animals are inseminated as they come into the hunt.

SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS

Milk and meat of animals treated with Surfagon are used for food purposes without restrictions.

CONTRAINDICATIONS

Contraindications, side effects and complications after using the drug in accordance with the instructions have not been established.

SIDE EFFECTS

With proper use and dosage, side effects are not observed.

PRECAUTIONS

When working with the drug, you should follow the general rules of personal hygiene and safety measures provided for when working with drugs. It is forbidden to use empty vials from the drug for household purposes.

STORAGE

Store in a dry, dark place and out of reach of children at temperatures from +2 В° C to + 10 В° C. The shelf life, subject to storage conditions, is 2 years from the date of manufacture. It is forbidden to use the medicinal product after its expiration date.
