It is used in the prevention and treatment of hypo- and avitaminosis and lack of minerals, including:

• with inadequate and unbalanced nutrition (diet);

• with increased physical and mental stress;

• in the complex therapy of chronic alcoholism, with the appointment of antibiotic therapy, chemotherapy.

The drug is taken orally. The effervescent tablet should be pre-dissolved in a glass of water. The film-coated tablet is recommended to be swallowed whole with a glass of water (200 ml).

Adults and adolescents over 12 years old are prescribed 1 tab. effervescent or 1 tab., Coated, 1 time / day with meals.

The course of treatment is 1-2 months. A second course of treatment - after consulting a doctor.

Without a doctor's recommendation, the drug should not be taken in doses exceeding the above, as well as for children under 12 years of age .

The pharmacological properties of the drug are determined by the complex of vitamins and minerals that make up the composition. SupradinЃ contains 12 vitamins in combination with minerals and trace elements, which are important factors in metabolic processes.

Vitamins are essential for the metabolism of carbohydrates, the formation of energy reserves, the metabolism of lipids, nucleic acids and proteins, as well as for the synthesis of collagen, neurotransmitters. In addition to participating in basic metabolic reactions, vitamins are involved in the regulation and coordination of metabolic processes. Vitamins are essential for bone growth, wound healing, maintaining vascular health, immune status, microsomal drug metabolism and detoxification, for tissue development and differentiation.

Vitamin A contributes to normal growth, participates in the formation and maintenance of the structure and functions of bones, teeth, skin, and is involved in the synthesis of visual pigment.

Since the dose of vitamin A during pregnancy should not exceed 3000-4000 IU / day, SupradinЃ should not be used with other medicines containing vitamin A, synthetic isomers, isotretinoin and etretinate or beta-carotene. A constant overdose of vitamin D, along with constant hypercalcemia, has an adverse effect on the fetus and the newborn, namely, it can lead to the development of supravalvular stenosis of the aortic opening in the fetus, retardation in physical and mental development and retinopathy in children. In this regard, it is necessary to take into account the intake of vitamin D into the body of a newborn.

The recommended dose of the drug should not be exceeded, as very high doses of certain ingredients of the drug, in particular vitamin A, vitamin D, iron and copper, can have an adverse effect on the human body. Thus, excessive intake of vitamin A in a short time at a dose of more than 500,000 IU leads to acute hypervitaminosis, which manifests itself in malaise, abdominal pain, headache with nausea and vomiting, and dizziness. Long-term intake of vitamin A at a dose of more than 100,000 IU / day leads to chronic hypervitaminosis, manifested by bone and joint pain, dry skin and brittle nails, hair loss and weight loss. Excessive intake of vitamin D in a dose of 2000 IU for several weeks or months also leads to hypervitaminosis, the symptoms of which are nausea, vomiting, thirst, disturbed stools, and dehydration.

It is possible that urine stains yellow, which is completely harmless, and is explained by the presence of riboflavin in the preparation.

In case of hypersensitivity to lactose, SupradinЃ should be taken in the form of effervescent tablets.

An effervescent tablet contains about 300 mg of sodium (equivalent to 700 mg of sodium chloride).

Patients on a low-salt diet are advised to take the drug in the form of film-coated tablets.

The tablet contains about 1000 mg of crystalline sugar (sucrose). When taking the recommended daily dose, this amount is negligible even if it is necessary to follow an antidiabetic diet (1 g of crystalline sugar corresponds to 0.1 bread unit).

Overdose

Since SupradinЃ contains fat-soluble vitamins A and D, signs of acute or chronic overdose may develop after a single dose of the drug in a high dose or with prolonged use.

Symptoms: sudden attacks of headache, dizziness, confusion, and gastrointestinal upset, including nausea, diarrhea, or constipation.

In some patients with glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase deficiency, an overdose of vitamin C (more than 15 g) can cause hemolytic anemia.
