DOSAGE AND METHOD OF APPLICATION
A liquid substitute is prepared by dissolving dry powder in warm water (50-55 В° C): for lambs in a ratio of 1: 4 (up to 20 days) - 1: 5 (after the 20th day); for kids in a ratio of 1: 5 (up to the 20th day) - 1: 6 (after the 20th day).
Dissolution is carried out with active stirring (homogenization) of the CMR powder. The first feeding is performed shortly after weaning with warm substitute (36-38 В° C) from bottles with baby (medical) nipples.
When lambs are raised on milk replacer, standardized and free drinking are used. Average feeding rates for standardized feeding per 1 head per day: 4th day 140 ml x 1 time, 5th day 160 ml x 3 times, 6th day 180 ml x 5 times, 7-10th day 220 ml x 5 times, 11-15th day 300 ml x 4 times, 16-21st day 300 ml x 4 times. From the second week, they begin to accustom them to compound feed and hay, which should be freely available. 21-30th day 300 ml x 4 times, 31-40th day 350 ml x 3 times, 41-50th day 250 ml x 3 times, 51-60th day 200 ml x 2 times, 61- 70th day 300 ml x 1 time, 71-80th day 300 ml x 1 time. When a lamb uses starter compound feed in an amount of 200 g per day, when the lamb is healthy and weighs more than 15 kg, milk replacer can be completely abandoned.
When fed ad libitum, the substitute is constantly in the drinker, lambs consume it at any time of the day at ambient temperature.
It is imperative to ensure that animals have constant access to water.
