DESCRIPTION
Stop-coccid (Stop-coccid) is a suspension for oral administration for the treatment and prevention of coccidiosis in young cattle and small ruminants, pigs and dogs. In appearance, the drug is a white liquid; stratification is allowed during storage.
COMPOSITION
Stop-coccid in 1 ml contains toltrazuril - 50 mg as an active ingredient (DV), as well as auxiliary substances: sodium benzoate - 1.5 mg, carboxymethyl cellulose - 1.5 mg, cyclamate - 0.67 mg, saccharin - 0, 67 mg, aspartame - 0.67 mg, lactose - 2 mg, polypropylene glycol - 100 mg, Tween-80 - 6 mg, Aerosil - 6 mg and distilled water - up to 1 ml.
PHARMACOLOGICAL PROPERTIES
Stop-coccid is one of the anti-coccidial drugs of the triazintrione group.
The active ingredient of the drug - Toltrazuril, has a wide spectrum of coccidiocidal action at the stages of intracellular development of parasites, is effective against all types of coccidia, including Eimeria spp., Isospora spp., Cistoisospora spp., Parasitizing in piglets, calves, lambs and dog puppies.
Toltrazuril has a damaging effect on mitochondria and the processes of fission of the nucleus of coccidia, disrupting the formation of macrogametocytes, blocking respiratory enzymes, which leads to the death of parasites.
After oral administration of the drug, toltrazuril is slowly absorbed and has a coccidiocidal effect on the mucosa and submucosa of the gastrointestinal tract.
In the body, toltrazuril is metabolized by sulfooxidation and hydroxylation, with the formation of sulfoxide and sulfone.
It is excreted from the body mainly unchanged - up to 70%, and also in the form of metabolites with feces and partly with urine.
Stop-coccid, according to the degree of impact on the body, belongs to low-hazard substances (hazard class 4 according to GOST 12.1.007-76), in recommended doses does not cause side effects and complications in animals, does not interfere with the formation of immunity to coccidiosis.
DOSAGE AND APPLICATION
Stop-coccid is prescribed for calves, lambs, kids, piglets and puppies of dogs for the treatment and prevention of coccidiosis.
Stop-coccid is administered orally to animals individually using a syringe dispenser. If sediment appears, the container with the suspension should be shaken thoroughly before use.

SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS
In case of an overdose of the drug, the animal may experience a decrease in appetite, a decrease in water consumption, and an upset of the gastrointestinal tract.
Failure to comply with the recommended interval for repeated administration of the drug to puppies can lead to a decrease in its effectiveness. If the next dose of the drug is missed, it should be administered as soon as possible.
Stop-coccid should not be used concurrently with other anticoccid drugs.
Slaughter of calves, lambs and kids for meat is allowed no earlier than 70 days, piglets - no earlier than 91 days after the application of Stop-Coccid.
The meat of animals that were forcedly killed earlier than the established deadlines can be used as feed for fur animals.
CONTRAINDICATIONS
Contraindication to the use of Stop-coccid is the increased individual sensitivity of the animal to the components of the drug, serious violations of the liver and / or kidneys.
It is forbidden to use the drug in dairy animals, due to its excretion in milk; the drug should not be used in adult ruminants with developed cicatricial digestion.
SIDE EFFECTS
When using Stop-coccid in accordance with this instruction, side effects and complications in animals, as a rule, are not observed.
With increased individual sensitivity to the drug and the appearance of allergic reactions, the animal is prescribed antihistamines and symptomatic therapy.
SHELF LIFE AND STORAGE
