Kidney (truncated apical shoots) single or several pieces in whorls surrounding larger central bud, without stem or with stem remainder, not more than 3 mm long. The kidneys are ovoid, ovoid-conical or elongated-ovoid, acute, tightly closed. The surface of the kidneys is covered with dry, spirally arranged lanceolate or triangular, fringed scales pointed at the edges, glued together by a protruding resin. Under the scales are underdeveloped paired green needles - needles. The color intensity of the scales decreases from external to internal, and in each scale - from the middle to the edges, the fringe along the edge is colorless. The kidneys are round in cross section.
The color of the kidneys outside is pinkish-brown, reddish-brown, green or brown at the break. The length of the kidneys is 1 - 4 cm. The smell is aromatic, resinous. The taste of water extract is bitter.

Indications
As part of the complex treatment of infectious and inflammatory diseases of the respiratory tract (laryngitis, tracheitis, chronic bronchitis, bronchopneumonia).
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to the drug, pregnancy, period of breastfeeding, children under 12 years old.
Use during pregnancy and lactation
The use of the drug during pregnancy and during breastfeeding is contraindicated.
Dosage and administration
About 10 g (1 tablespoon) of the kidneys are placed in an enamel dish, pour 200 ml (1 cup) of chilled boiled water, cover and insist on a boiling water bath for 30 minutes, cool at room temperature for 10 minutes, filter, the remaining raw materials are squeezed. The volume of the resulting broth is adjusted with boiled water to 200 ml.
Take inside after eating 1 tablespoon of warm broth 3-4 times a day. The course of treatment is 2-4 weeks. Before use, it is recommended to shake the broth.
