MODE OF APPLICATION
The best time to transplant blueberries, lingonberries and cranberries is mid-April - early May or late August - September. Plants grown in containers can be replanted at any time.
Landing in open ground. Choose a place in the garden in a light shade, well-drained and sheltered from the wind, outline the planting site taking into account the growth between the plants. For blueberries, choose a sunny, but always sheltered spot in the garden. The lack of sun negatively affects the number of berries and their taste.
Prepare planting holes for the planted plants with a diameter of 40-60 cm, a depth of 50 cm. Loosen the bottom of the hole 10 cm; thoroughly moisten the root ball of the transplanted plant before planting by immersing the container with the plant in a container of water for 30 minutes; pour blueberry soil on the bottom of the planting pit with a layer of 5-10 cm and compact it; place the root system of the seedling in the hole, and fill the space between the clod and the walls of the planting hole with soil, slightly compacting the layers; pour an annular earthen shaft 5-10 cm high along the edge of the planting pit; at the end of planting, water the plants abundantly, filling the near-stem circle with water; make sure that the root collar of the plant after watering is at the level of the soil or slightly higher; mulch the soil surface with a layer of 5-8 centimeters; systematically water and spray plants during the growing season; starting from the second year, feed the plants with crop-specific fertilizers.
Landing in containers.
Use containers that have holes for the outflow of excess water and a volume sufficient for the full development of the root system of the planted plant; pour a layer of drainage materials (expanded clay, etc.) 3-5 cm thick on the bottom of the container; pour over the drainage soil for blueberries in a layer of 5-10 cm and compact it; place the root system of the seedling on top of the layer, and fill the space between the ball and the walls of the container with soil, slightly compacting the layers; water the planted plant well; make sure that the root collar after watering is located at the soil level slightly higher; cover the surface of the soil in the container with mulching materials in a layer of 5-7 cm; water as needed and spray systematically; do not allow the soil in the container to dry out and waterlogged.
