Pharmacological action

Artelak Balance Uno is a sterile solution designed to moisturize and lubricate the surface of the eye, intended for instillation into the eyes. Artelak Balance Uno contains 0.15% sodium hyaluronate, the effectiveness of which is optimized by the presence of the substance polyethylene glycol, a film-forming polymer. Sodium hyaluronate is a substance that is normally present in the eye, forms a stable and long-lasting film on the surface of the eye. The composition of the solution includes vitamin B12. The role of vitamin B12, contained in the composition of the solution is to protect cells of the surface of the eye from damage caused by free radicals. The pink shade of the solution in the bottle is associated with the presence of vitamin B12 (cyanocobalamin), however, it does not stain clothes and does not stain contact lenses. The composition of the solution includes electrolytes (chlorides, sodium, potassium, calcium and magnesium), which play an important role in biochemical processes in the cell.
