Pharmacological action
Artelak Balance is a sterile solution designed to moisturize and lubricate the surface of the eye, intended for instillation into the eyes. Artelak Balance contains 0, 15% sodium hyaluronate, the effectiveness of which is optimized by the presence of a substance polyethylene glycol, a film-forming polymer. Sodium hyaluronate is a substance that is normally present in the eye and forms a stable and long-lasting film on the surface of the eye. The composition of the solution includes vitamin B12. Vitamin B12 protects cells on the surface of the eye from damage caused by free radicals. The pink shade of the solution in the bottle is associated with the presence of vitamin B12 (cyanocobalamin). The composition of the solution includes electrolytes (chlorides, sodium, potassium, calcium and magnesium), which play an important role for biochemical processes in the cell. Artelak Balance is a solution that does not change the physiological state of the surface of the eye. The solution also includes Oxide, a new preservative system, due to which the sterility of the solution is maintained for 2 months from the moment of opening the bottle. Upon contact with the surface of the eye, the oxide is converted to oxygen, water and sodium chloride. These substances are present in a tear in vivo and do not irritate the mucous membrane of the eye.
Indications
Ideal for the prevention of dry eye syndrome, as well as vitamin B12, which is part of the composition, has antioxidant and trophic properties (protection and nutrition).

Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to any of the components that make up the solution (local allergic reactions that occur in rare cases). In such cases, you should stop using the solution.
Use during pregnancy and lactation
Use during pregnancy and lactation. There is no risk associated with the use of the drug Artelak during pregnancy and lactation, since hypromellose is not absorbed and therefore does not have a systemic effect.

Dosage and administration
It is recommended to instill Artelak Balance in the conjunctival sac of each eye, 1 drop 3 to 5 times a day or, if necessary, more often.

When wearing soft and hard contact lenses, you can instill Artelak Balance in the conjunctival sac of the eye without removing the lenses.

Side effects
