Skin-cap shampoo 1%, 150ml
Russian Pharmacy name:
Скин-кап шампунь 1%, 150мл
A drug with antibacterial and antifungal effects for external use. It has an antiproliferative effect on epidermal cells. Suppresses the pathological growth of cells in the surface layers of the skin and thereby eliminates excessive flaking in psoriasis and other skin diseases. At the same time, in therapeutic concentrations, the drug does not have an inhibitory effect on normally functioning cells.
Active against Streptococcus spp., Staphylococcus spp., Escherichia coli, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Proteus spp. Antifungal activity is especially pronounced against Pytyrosporum ovale and Pytyrosporum orbiculare, which cause inflammation and excessive desquamation in skin diseases.
The molecular mechanism of action of the drug is based on the ability of the ionophore Zn2 + zinc pyrithione to induce translocation and activation of protein kinase C, providing cellular responses mediated by protein kinase C.
When applied externally, zinc pyrithione is deposited in the epidermis and surface layers of the dermis. Systemic absorption is slow. It is found in the blood in trace amounts.
