DESCRIPTION

Sinulox 500mg is a drug for the treatment of infectious diseases of bacterial etiology in dogs and cats.

COMPOSITION

Sinulox 500mg tablets are round pink tablets with a dividing groove on one side and the inscription Sinulox on the other side. Each tablet contains 400mg of amoxicillin in the form of amoxicillin trihydrate and 100mg of clavulanic acid in the form of sodium clavulanate.

PHARMACOLOGICAL PROPERTIES

Amoxicillin is a broad-spectrum semisynthetic penicillin that has a rapid bactericidal effect on many gram-positive (Streptococcus spp., Staphylococcus spp., Corynebacterium spp.) And gram-negative bacteria (Escherichia coli, Salmonella, Bordetella bronchiseptica, Proteteus spp.) And gram-negative bacteria (Esherichia coli, Salmonella, Bordetella bronchiseptica, Proteteus spp.) including b-lactamase-producing strains.

Resistance to b-lactam antibacterial drugs is usually due to the ability of microorganisms to produce b-lactamase, an enzyme that destroys the b-lactam ring of an antibiotic before it can act on a bacterial cell.

Clavulanic acid, which is part of sinulox, inactivates b-lactamase and thereby restores the bacterial sensitivity to the bactericidal action of amoxicillin in concentrations that are easily achieved in animal tissues after administration of the drug.

Sinulox 500mg tablets can be used as an alternative to injectable antibiotics in the treatment of small animals.

INDICATIONS

Prescribed to dogs and cats for the treatment of infections of bacterial etiology: diseases of the skin and soft tissues (abscesses, pyoderma, inflammation of the paranal glands, gingivitis, stomatitis, etc.), respiratory diseases, diseases of the genitourinary system and enteritis.

APPLICATION

Sinulox tablets 500 mg are administered to sick animals from the hand or in crumbled form mixed with feed at a dose of 12.5 mg per 1 kg of animal weight twice a day:

The duration of the course of treatment with Sinulox is 5-7 days. If the disease is difficult to treat, especially with respiratory infections, the dose of Sinulox can be doubled (up to 25 mg per 1 kg of animal weight) twice a day. In the case of chronic or intractable diseases, often accompanied by significant tissue damage, a longer course of therapy with Sinulox is recommended: the duration of treatment for chronic skin diseases and chronic cystitis is 10-28 days, for respiratory diseases - 8-10 days.

CONTRAINDICATIONS

Hypersensitivity to drug components. Sinulox, like other penicillin antibiotics, is not allowed to be administered to rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters and gerbils. The drug should be used with great caution in other small herbivores.

The medicinal product is not intended for use in productive animals.

The use of the drug is not indicated for pseudomonous infection.

SIDE EFFECTS

Allergic reactions are possible in hypersensitive animals. With proper use and dosage, side effects are not observed.

STORAGE

Store the drug in the manufacturer's closed packaging in a dry place protected from direct sunlight, separately from food and feed, at a temperature from 0 В° C to 25 В° C. The shelf life of the medicinal product, subject to storage conditions in the manufacturer's sealed packaging, is 2 years from the date of manufacture.
