Indications
The preparation Espumisan Extra is intended for use in adults and children over 6 years of age:
symptoms of excessive formation and accumulation of gases in the gastrointestinal tract (including flatulence, increased gas formation in the postoperative period)
symptoms of excessive gas formation caused by functional dyspepsia
preparation for diagnostic tests of the abdominal cavity and pelvic organs (ultrasound, radiography, etc.).
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to the components of the drug
intestinal obstruction
hereditary fructose intolerance.
Special instructions
If excess gas formation persists for a long time, consult a doctor for a medical examination.
The drug Espumisan Extra contains sorbitol (sorbitol), therefore its use in patients with hereditary fructose intolerance is contraindicated.
Information for patients with diabetes mellitus: 1 sachet contains 647.90 mg of sorbitol, which corresponds to 0.05 bread unit (XE).

Dosage and Administration
Inside. The contents of the bag are poured into the mouth, directly on the tongue. It is not necessary to wash granules with water (if necessary, you can drink them with water).
The drug is taken before or after a meal, if necessary - before bedtime. The frequency of administration and the duration of use depend on the severity of symptoms. If necessary, the drug Espumisan Extra can be taken for a long time.
For complaints of excessive gas formation:
Adults and children over 14 years of age: 1 sachet of Espumisan extra before or after meals, if necessary 1 sachet can be taken additionally before bedtime.
If necessary, a single dose can be increased to 2 sachets of Espumisan Extra.
The maximum daily dose is 6 sachets of Espumisan Extra, which corresponds to 750 mg of simethicone.
Children from 6 to 14 years: 1 sachet of Espumisan extra before or after meals, if necessary 1 sachet can be taken additionally before bedtime.
The maximum daily dose is 3 sachets of Espumisan Extra, which corresponds to 375 mg of simethicone.
In preparation for radiography and ultrasound:
Take 1 sachet of Espumisan extra 3 times a day after meals the day before the study and 1 sachet of Espumisan extra in the morning on the day of the study.
