Indications
Symptoms of excessive gas formation caused by functional dyspepsia
acute poisoning with detergents containing foaming agents (as an antifoam)
excessive formation and accumulation of gases in the gastrointestinal tract (flatulence, remheld syndrome, gas phase, aerophagia) diagnostic tests of the abdominal cavity and pelvic organs (including ultrasound, x-ray studies).
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to the components of the drug intestinal obstruction.
Use during pregnancy and lactation
The preparation EspumisanВ® can be used during pregnancy and during breastfeeding.
Composition
Active ingredients:
simethicone 40 mg.
Excipients:
gelatin - 22.47 mg,
glycerol 85% - 9.67 mg,
methyl parahydroxybenzoate - 0.28 mg,
quinoline yellow dye (E104) - 0.1 mg,
dye sunny sunset yellow (E1 ) - 0.0024 mg.
Dosage and Administration
Inside, during or after meals (if necessary, and at night).
With flatulence and a feeling of fullness in the stomach for adults and children 6-14 years old - 1-2 capsules or 1-2 teaspoons of the emulsion 3-5 times a day, for infants and young children - 1 teaspoon of the emulsion 3– 5 times a day.
To prepare for x-ray and ultrasound of the abdominal organs 1 day before the study - 2 capsules or 2 teaspoons of the emulsion 3 times a day and on the day of the study in the morning - 2 capsules or 2 teaspoons of the emulsion.
To obtain a double contrast image - 20–40 ml per 1 liter of contrast suspension. In case of poisoning with detergents - for adults 50–100 ml, for children - 10–50 ml, depending on the severity of the poisoning. Infants and young children take the emulsion with food from a bottle or with liquid after a meal.
Side effects of
In some cases: individual intolerance to the components of the drug.
Overdose
Overdose with Espumizan® is unlikely due to the chemical and physiological inertness of the drug.
Storage conditions
Keep out of the reach of children at a temperature not exceeding 30 РC.
Expiration
3 years.
