COMPOSITION AND FORM OF ISSUE

A hormonal preparation, which contains water-soluble mepregenol acetate and ethinylestradiol as active ingredients, as well as auxiliary components. Produced in the form of tablets of white or white with a grayish tinge, containing 0.4 mg of water-soluble mepregenol acetate and 0.02 mg of ethinylestradiol in one tablet. Packaged in 10 tablets in a blister or non-cell packaging made of polymeric or combined materials.

PHARMACOLOGICAL PROPERTIES

The drug causes inhibition of sexual arousal by acting on the hypothalamic-pituitary system. Ethinylestradiol, inhibiting the secretion of pituitary gonadotropic hormones, has a depressing effect on the sexual function of males.

INDICATIONS

For oppression of sexual desire in males and males.

APPLICATION AND DOSAGE

The tablets are given upon the onset of sexual arousal in cats and males with food or forcibly on the root of the tongue for 3 to 5 days. The daily dose depends on the weight of the animal: up to 5 kg - 1 tablet, from 5 to 10 kg - 2 - 3 tablets, from 10 to 30 kg - 3 - 4 tablets, over 30 kg - 4 or more tablets. For each subsequent increase in body weight by 10 kg, the dose is increased by 1 tablet.

Young cats are prescribed 2 tablets at a time for the first dose of the drug. In the case of rapid sedation of the animal (2 - 3 days), to consolidate the effect, continue taking the drug for one more day. To maintain a calming effect, cats are prescribed drugs on a monthly basis: 1 tablet for 2 to 3 days.

SIDE EFFECTS

They are not observed in recommended doses and when used correctly.

CONTRAINDICATIONS

It is not recommended to give the drug to females, in view of the fact that the increased content of ethinyl estradiol in it can cause unwanted sexual arousal in females; with diseases of the reproductive system, diabetes mellitus, urolithiasis.
