The homeland of this amazing flower, one of the most popular species among flower growers, is the mountainous regions of Mexico. Marigolds rejected, French or small-flowered - a plant of a dense structure with a specific odor, spreading or compact in shape. Stems are erect, 15-50 cm tall, strongly branched from the base, lateral shoots are deflected. The leaves are small, pinnately dissected, with linear-lanceolate lobes, serrate at the edges, dark green in color, alternate and opposite arrangement. Inflorescences are baskets with a diameter of 4-6 cm, simple, semi-double or terry, single or collected in shields. The wrapper is single-row, consists of 5-7 fused leaves.
Rejected marigolds are undemanding to growing conditions, are resistant to diseases and pests, to drought, as well as to the polluted atmosphere of the city. Bloom profusely from June until frost. Marigold flowers are a raw material for the production of many dietary supplements, used in folk medicine and homeopathy. Water infusion of flower baskets is used as a diuretic, diaphoretic and antihelminthic agent, as well as for diseases of the upper respiratory tract and oral cavity. MODE OF APPLICATION
Pour expanded clay on the bottom of the plastic pot, and on top pour fertile soil, leaving a small amount of earth in the bag.
Place the pot on a tray lid. Excess water when watering through the drainage holes in the pot will accumulate on the lid.
Sprinkle generously with room temperature water.
Spread the seeds evenly over the soil surface.
Sprinkle the seeds with a layer of the remaining fertile soil (1-3 mm) and compact it slightly.
Pour water at room temperature again and cover with transparent plastic, airing once a day.
Keep fertile soil moist at all times (watering 2-4 times a week). It is better to use a spray bottle during seed germination.
Choose a place well lit by the sun for your pet. A window sill on the south side is ideal. The optimum temperature regime is 18-25 В° C.
Be patient, seedlings will appear within 3-7 days. Remove the plastic after emergence.
