COMPOSITION

10 ml of Septogel contains 0.65 g of povidone iodine as an active ingredient. Does not contain hormones and antibiotics. The drug is a red-brown gel with an active iodine content of 0.5%.

PHARMACOLOGICAL PROPERTIES

Septogel has a wide spectrum of antimicrobial action, corresponding to the spectrum of active iodine, but is devoid of irritating effect. It has a pronounced anti-inflammatory and wound healing effect. To Septogel, as a preparation of active iodine, there is no resistance of microorganisms.

DOSAGE AND APPLICATION

Treatment of mastitis: The dose and frequency of injecting Septogel into the affected lobe depends on the form and severity of the inflammatory process: with latent mastitis, the drug is injected twice at a dose of 10 ml 12 hours later until a negative test result for latent mastitis is obtained. Usually, recovery occurs the next day after drug administration; for catarrhal mastitis, the drug is administered at a dose of 10 ml 2 times a day. Usually, recovery occurs after 3-4 injections of the drug; for fibrinous and purulent mastitis, the drug is administered at a dose of 10 ml 2 times a day until the animal recovers clinically.

Treatment of surgical diseases: It is recommended to use Septogel as an external therapeutic agent for the treatment of fresh accidental wounds, abrasions, as well as infected and non-healing wounds, ulcers, cracks in vaginitis.Septogel is applied in a thin layer to the affected area 1-2 times a day until clinical recovery. , in the treatment of abscesses - it is introduced into the cavity of the opened abscess on a cotton-gauze swab.

SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS

Milk from healthy udder lobes is used without restriction. The meat is used without restrictions.

CONTRAINDICATIONS

The joint use of other drugs with the intrauterine route of administration is strictly prohibited.
