Excipients: boric acid, ethylenediamine, methyl parahydroxybenzoate, water.
pharmachologic effect
Sanorin is a vasoconstrictor.
Excites alpha2-adrenergic receptors.
Pharmacodynamics
It causes narrowing of the vessels of the mucous membranes and reduces swelling, hyperemia, exudation of the mucous membrane of the respiratory tract, facilitates nasal breathing.
With prolonged use, the vasoconstrictor effect gradually decreases, and therefore, after 5-7 days of treatment, you should take a break for several days.
Indications
Acute rhinitis, sinusitis, laryngitis, eustachitis, rhinoscopy, hay rhinitis, rhinitis, allergic rhinitis.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity, arterial hypertension, an increase in the thyroid gland, tachycardia, severe atherosclerosis, glaucoma, children under 2 years of age (0.1% emulsion, 0.05 and 0.1% solution), up to 15 years (0.1% solution).
Side effects
Irritation of the mucous membrane, reactive hyperemia
with prolonged use - swelling of the mucous membrane
nausea, headache, increased blood pressure, tachycardia (with resorptive action).
Interaction
Simultaneous reception with MAO inhibitors and a period of up to 14 days after the end of their use increases the risk of severe arterial hypertension (release of deposited catecholamines under the action of naphazoline).
Slows down the absorption of local anesthetics.
How to take, course of administration and dosage
For acute rhinitis, sinusitis, eustachitis, laryngitis, to facilitate rhinoscopy for adults and adolescents over 15 years old - 1-3 drops of 0.1% nasal drops in each nasal passage 3-4 times a day.
The course of treatment is short-term, until the symptoms of nasal congestion disappear, but not more than 1 week in adults and 3 days in children.
Re-use of the drug is possible after a few days.
In case of nosebleeds, a cotton swab moistened with 0.05% Sanorin solution can be placed in the nasal passage.
As an additional agent in the treatment of conjunctivitis of bacterial origin, nasal drops 0.05% are instilled into the conjunctival sac, 1-2 drops 3-4 times a day.
Overdose
Symptoms: hypothermia, bradycardia, hyperhidrosis, drowsiness, coma.
Treatment: symptomatic.
Special instructions
With prolonged use, the severity of the vasoconstrictor effect gradually decreases (the phenomenon of tachyphylaxis), and therefore it is recommended after 5-7 days of use in adults and after 3 days of use in children to take a break for several days.
