DESCRIPTION

Sanofly is an insect-acaricidal and repellent preparation for the protection of cattle and horses from dipterans, fleas and ticks. Prevention and treatment of arachno-entomoses in animals. Dosage form: solution for external use. In appearance, the drug is a clear, light yellow liquid.

COMPOSITION

10 mg cyfluthrin, as well as auxiliary components: dimethyl sulfoxide, polyvinyl pyrrolidone, isopropyl alcohol, sorbitan oleate and polyethylene glycol.

PHARMACOLOGICAL PROPERTIES

Sanofly has a contact insect-acaricidal and repellent effect against flies, midges, gadflies, mosquitoes, mosquitoes, horseflies, fleas, lice, lice and ixodid ticks. Cyfluthrin, which is part of the drug, belongs to the group of synthetic pyrethroids. Its mechanism of action is to block the transmission of nerve impulses, which causes impaired coordination of movements, paralysis and death of insects and ticks. After application to the skin, the drug is distributed over the body surface, slightly absorbed by the skin, which ensures its long-term insect-acaricidal and repellent effect.

According to the degree of effect on the body, Sanofly belongs to low-hazard substances and, in recommended doses, does not have a resorptive-toxic, embryotoxic, teratogenic, mutagenic, immunotoxic and local irritating effect on the skin. Causes minor irritation in eye contact. The drug is toxic to fish, aquatic organisms and bees.

DOSAGE AND APPLICATION

Sanofly is used in cattle and horses using a dosing device, applying to the skin of the back along the spine from the withers to the sacrum at the rate of 0.3 ml per 10 kg of animal weight.

The processing of cattle is carried out in the grazing period once every 4 to 6 weeks, depending on the number of insects. Dairy cows should be handled immediately after milking. Horses are treated when insects and mites are active.

The protective effect of Sanofly lasts at least 28 days after a single treatment. In case of skipping the next treatment, the use of the drug is resumed in the same dose and according to the same scheme.

CONTRAINDICATIONS

The drug should not be applied to wet, damaged and contaminated skin and should not be administered concurrently with other synthetic pyrethroids.

SIDE EFFECTS

Allergic reactions are possible in hypersensitive animals. In some cases, an increase in salivation may occur in an animal during the first application and withdrawal of the drug, which passes on its own without the use of drugs. In case of an overdose, animals may be depressed and salivated.

SHELF LIFE AND STORAGE

Store in a dry, dark place and out of reach of children and animals, separately from food and feed in closed manufacturer's packaging at a temperature of 8 to 25 В° C. Shelf life is 2 years.
