For prevention:

• purulent-inflammatory skin diseases in newborns; wound infection in surgical patients.

For treatment:

• infectious and inflammatory skin diseases of bacterial and fungal etiology (including Candida albicans);

• in dentistry: with periodontitis, aphthous stomatitis, necrotizing ulcerative gingivostomatitis and other lesions of the oral cavity;

• in otorhinolaryngology: for diseases of the middle ear and external auditory canal;

• in surgery: for infected burns, long-term non-healing wounds and ulcers;

• in gynecology: with endocervicitis, colpitis, vaginitis, cervical erosion;

• in dermatology: with pyoderma, superficial blastomycosis, dermatomycosis

Sanguirithrin is used as an antimicrobial agent for external or local use for treatment and prophylaxis in children (including newborns) and adults (including pregnant women in the prenatal and postnatal period).

For treating folds in newborns

Newborns are treated with skin folds with 0.2% aqueous-alcoholic solution of the drug 2 times / day. during the first 5-6 days of life using a sterile cotton swab.

Periodontitis treatment

It is carried out after the removal of dental plaque and curettage of pathological gingival pockets. Thin turundas moistened with 0.2% aqueous-alcoholic or aqueous solution of Sanguirithrin are introduced into the gingival pockets for 20 minutes. The procedure is repeated daily or every other day. The course of treatment is 4-6 procedures. To prepare an aqueous solution, it is diluted 40 times (1 teaspoon per 200 ml of warm boiled water).

With stomatitis of various etiologies

On the lesions of the oral mucosa, a solution of the drug is applied 2-3 times / day. within 2-5 days. Children over the age of 5 are prescribed rinsing with a warm water solution; at the age of less than 5 years, the oral mucosa is lubricated with an aqueous solution.

With tonsillitis

Tonsils are treated with 0.2% aqueous-alcoholic solution of Sanguirithrin 1 time / day. within 2-5 days. In addition, adults and children over 5 years old are prescribed rinsing with a warm aqueous solution daily 3-5 times / day. Children under 5 years old are lubricated with an aqueous solution of the mucous membrane of the oral cavity 3-4 times / day. The duration of the course of treatment is 3-7 days.

With otitis externa

Turundas moistened with 0.2% aqueous-alcoholic solution of Sanguirithrin for 10-15 minutes 2-3 times / day are injected into the ear canal. The minimum course of therapy is 2 weeks. In chronic purulent otitis media, 0.2% aqueous-alcoholic solution of Sanguirithrin is instilled in adults, 5-8 drops, for children, 1-2 drops 3-4 times / day.

For the prevention of pyoinflammatory complications

Every day, the wound is treated with a sterile gauze swab, abundantly moistened with a 0.2% aqueous-alcoholic solution of the drug, covered with a sterile napkin moistened with a solution, and a fixing bandage is applied. After 3-5 days, treat with 0.2% aqueous-alcoholic solution of the drug and apply a dry sterile bandage. The duration of the course of therapy is determined by the period of wound healing and, with an uncomplicated course of the process, is 7-10 days.

For the treatment of burns, long-term non-healing wounds and ulcers, open infected fractures

Apply an aqueous solution of Sanguirithrin. Wounds and ulcers are washed with an aqueous solution of the drug, and bandages with the solution are applied to the wound surface. For infected burns, dressings are made every other day, for other wounds, every day, 1-2 times / day. The duration of treatment depends on the nature and severity of the disease.

With endocervicitis, colpitis, vaginitis, cervical erosion

Douching, irrigation and lotions are carried out with a warm aqueous solution of Sanguirithrin daily 1-2 times / day. The course of treatment is 5-10 procedures.

With pyoderma, superficial blastomycosis and dermatomycosis (including those complicated by mixed flora)

0.2% aqueous-alcoholic solution of Sanguirithrin is prescribed in the form of bandages or lubricants of the lesion, 1-2 times a day. The duration of treatment is determined by the nature and severity of the disease.

Active ingredients:

Pharmacodynamics

Antimicrobial drug for external and local use.

Has a wide spectrum of action, is active against gram-negative and gram-positive bacteria (including antibiotic-resistant strains), yeast-like and filamentous (mold) fungi.

When used in therapeutic doses, it acts bacteriostatically.

The mechanism of action is due to the suppression of bacterial nuclease, a violation of the processes of permeability of cell membranes, division septa and a change in the structure of the nucleotide.

Pharmacokinetics

The effect of the drug is the cumulative effect of its components, therefore, kinetic observations are not possible; collectively, the components cannot be traced using markers or bio-research.

Side effects

Allergic reactions: local manifestations (skin flushing).

When rinsing and smearing with an aqueous solution of the preparation of the mucous membranes of the oral cavity: a feeling of bitterness in the mouth.

When applying Sanguirithrin to the wound surface: a short-term burning sensation (in these cases, the drug is used in lower concentrations).

Interaction

The simultaneous use of Sanguirithrin with local anesthetic agents is possible.

Overdose

Symptoms: Possible increased side effects of the drug.

Treatment: if necessary, symptomatic therapy is performed.

Special instructions

Do not allow the drug to come into contact with the eyes. If Sanguirithrin comes in contact with eyes, rinse with plenty of water.

With long-term non-healing wounds and ulcers, endocervicitis, colpitis, vaginitis, cervical erosions, pyoderma, superficial blastomycosis and dermatomycosis (including those complicated by mixed flora), it is possible to use Sanguirythrin solutions in combination with liniment (1% or 5%), which is prescribed in the form of bandages or lubrication of the lesion.

Application for violations of liver function

Contraindicated in liver diseases, accompanied by impaired function.

Application for impaired renal function

Contraindicated in kidney disease, accompanied by impaired function.
