Pharmacological action
It has a keratolytic, antiseptic, locally irritating and anti-inflammatory effect. Suppresses the secretion of sebaceous and sweat glands.
Indications
- monotherapy and as part of combination therapy for the treatment of inflammatory and infectious skin diseases: acne vulgaris, oily seborrhea, corns, chronic eczema, psoriasis, hyperkeratosis
- increased sweating of the feet.
Contraindications
- pregnancy
- lactation period
- age up to 12 months
- hypersensitivity to the drug, renal failure.
Use during pregnancy and lactation
Contraindicated in pregnancy and lactation.
Special instructions
The drug should not be applied to birthmarks, warts, incl. in the genital area or face.
When treating children, it is necessary to avoid treating several skin areas at once.
If it comes into contact with mucous membranes, rinse the area with plenty of water.
It must be borne in mind that with skin diseases occurring with hyperemia and inflammation (including psoriatic erythroderma) or with superficial wetting lesions, increased absorption of salicylic acid is possible.
Composition
Active substances: salicylic acid 10 g
Excipients: ethanol 70%.
Dosage and Administration
Externally. The affected surface of the skin is treated with an alcohol solution 2-3 times / day. The maximum daily dose for adults is 10 ml, for children - 1 ml. The course of treatment is no more than 1 week.
Side effects
Individual intolerance, allergic reactions, local reactions (burning, itching, hyperemia) are possible.
Drug interactions
Salicylic acid can increase the permeability of the skin to other external medicines and thereby enhance their absorption.
Absorbed salicylic acid may enhance the side effects of methotrexate and oral hypoglycemic drugs, sulfonylurea derivatives.
The solution is pharmaceutically incompatible with resorcinol (forms a melting mixture) and zinc oxide (insoluble zinc salicylate).

Not detected.
