DESCRIPTION

Ready-to-use rodenticidal bait Rodefacum is a mass of a mixture of various grains (oats, wheat, barley, etc.), colored blue or another bright color (depending on the color of the concentrate of the active principle). The product is intended for fighting gray, black rats and mice, both indoors and around them in undeveloped areas.

COMPOSITION

DV: (brodifacuma) - 0.005%. The composition includes dye and bitterness - bitrex.

PROPERTIES

Rodefacum bait is effective against rodents sensitive and resistant to other anticoagulants. The active principle - brodifacum belongs to the second generation anticoagulants, i.e. a lethal dose can be received by a rodent as a result of a single ingestion of the bait. Poisoning symptoms are typical of anticoagulants.

Death of gray and black rats occurs 2-41 days after eating 1-3 doses of bait, house mice - 6-12 days after eating 1-6 doses.

Rodenticidal bait Rodefakum according to GOST 12.1.007-76 for acute toxicity refers to low-hazard class IV compounds; LD50 when injected into the stomach of rats and mice is more than 5000 mg / kg, when applied to the skin is more than 2500 mg / kg. Does not possess skin-resorptive and local irritating properties upon repeated exposure; the cumulative effect is pronounced - the cumulation coefficient is less than 1.

The active ingredient - brodifacum belongs to the group of 4-hydroxycumarines with an anticoagulant nature of action. For acute toxicity when introduced into the stomach and applied to the skin, it is an extremely hazardous substance (hazard class I). Possesses pronounced cumulative properties. With a single exposure, it does not irritate the skin and slightly irritates the mucous membranes of the eye. Does not have long-term effects (mutagenic and embryotropic).

MODE OF APPLICATION

Rodenticidal bait Rodefacum is used in objects and premises of various types and purposes, as well as outside buildings, provided that precautions are taken and the bait is protected from moisture.

In places where access to the bait for pets and children is excluded, it is laid out in small containers or on substrates (sheets of thick paper, cardboard, oilcloth, etc.), which allows you to quickly and accurately collect its remains after work. To improve safety and ensure the safety of the bait, especially when processing livestock buildings, it is advisable to lay out the bait under shelters, in bait boxes and other devices.

The bait is laid out in places where traces of the vital activity of rodents are found: near their burrows, on paths of movement, along walls and partitions, etc.

In the habitats of house mice, depending on their number, the bait is laid out in piles at a distance of 2-5 m from each other, 10-20 g of the bait are spent on one place of the layout.

In the habitats of rats, depending on their number, the bait is laid out in portions of 20-50 g with a consumption rate of 2 to 10 g per 1m2.

The bait is laid out for two days, during which they are monitored for its consumption. If the bait is eaten, the layout of the bait is repeated, increasing its amount. From places where the bait is not touched by rodents, it is transferred to places where it is eaten. The processing of the object (room) is finished when the bait remains uneaten in all places of its placement.

The remains of uneaten (spoiled) bait, as well as the corpses of rodents, are collected in tightly closed containers (plastic bags, glass or metal cans, etc.) for subsequent burial or incineration.

PRECAUTIONS

To work with the Rodefakum bait, persons are allowed at least 13 years old, who have undergone special instructions and do not suffer from diseases of the blood and liver.

All manipulations with the bait are carried out in overalls (bathrobe, hat) and rubber gloves. Avoid getting the bait in your mouth and eyes.

The bait is laid out with a special scoop (spoon) for laying out or packing. Do not use food utensils!

When working with the bait, it is forbidden to smoke, drink, eat. After finishing work wash your hands with warm water and soap.

The bait in places where it is laid out should be out of reach of children and pets. The management and personnel of the processed object should be informed about the presence of rodenticide, precautions and the degree of its toxicity.

The bait placement points should be numbered, which allows you to control the placement places and carefully remove the remnants of the laid out bait at the end of the control work.

It is forbidden to transfer the bait to unauthorized persons who do not have special professional training.

The collected corpses of rodents and the remains of bait (see clause 2.7.) Must be buried in the ground to a depth of at least 0.5 m (far from water bodies and water supply sources) or burned in the open air or in a boiler room. It is forbidden to throw the remains of the bait into trash cans and bodies of water.
