A remedy for synovial fluid replacement RIPART Long is used for osteoarthritis and other degenerative-dystrophic, traumatic and post-traumatic changes in the joints: knee, hip and other large joints, as well as as an aid in orthopedic surgery.

The synovial fluid replacement agent RIPART Long is administered intra-articularly once (at intervals of one week), a total of 5 injections are given. Subcutaneous administration of lidocaine or a similar local anesthetic may be recommended prior to administration of RIPART Long.

Only a competent physician or other medical personnel in medical institutions that are properly equipped for intra-articular injections can inject the RIPART Long synovial fluid replacement agent into the affected joint.
The simultaneous use (for skin preparation) of disinfectants containing quaternary ammonium salts is prohibited, since sodium hyaluronate in their presence can form a precipitate.

Do not use the RIPART Long synovial fluid substitute if the blister pack is open or shows signs of damage. It is forbidden to use the drug after the expiry date indicated on the package.

Strict compliance with all strict requirements for the administration of aseptic preparations is imperative.
If necessary (if available), remove the joint effusion before administering the RIPART Long synovial fluid replacement product.
It is necessary to remove the screw cap of the syringe and the cap of the needle tip, observing all the rules of asepsis. The introduction of the means for replacing the synovial fluid RIPART Long into the joint must be carried out using a needle of the appropriate size (selected taking into account the size of the joint). The needle is not included in the product packaging.

Inject the full volume of RIPART Long synovial fluid replacement product into each joint (2 ml for the knee or hip joint, 1 ml for the small joint). If there is a medical prescription for multiple joints, a separate syringe must be used for each joint.
The pre-filled syringe is for one-time use only and must be used immediately after being removed from the package.

Side effects

The RIPART Long synovial fluid replacement product is well-tolerated.
