PHARMACOLOGICAL PROPERTIES

RikazolВ® belongs to the group of broad-spectrum anthelmintic drugs. Ricobendazole has a broad spectrum of anthelmintic action, is active against sexually mature and immature nematodes (Dictyocaulus, Haemonchus, Ostertagia, Thelazia, Trichostrongylus, Nematodirus, Cooperia, Oesophagostomum, Bunostomum and other cephalostomum) and cestodes, Thystodes and others. , as well as sexually mature trematodes (Fasciola, Paramphistom, Dicrocoelium), having an ovocidal effect, reduces the infection of pastures with helminth eggs.

The mechanism of action of ricobendazole (albendazole sulfoxide), providing its anthelmintic activity, is associated with the selective suppression of beta-tubulin polymerization, which leads to the destruction of cytoplasmic microtubules of cells of the intestinal tract of helminths; suppresses the processes of transport and utilization of glucose and inhibits the synthesis of ATP, blocks the movement of secretory granules and other organelles in the muscle cells of worms, disrupting the permeability of cell membranes and muscle innervation, which causes paralysis and death of parasites.

The drug is well absorbed and distributed in all organs and tissues of the body. The maximum concentration in the blood is reached after 8 hours. Ricobendazole is rapidly converted in the liver to albendazole sulfone and other oxidized products. Albendazole metabolites are excreted mainly in the bile, and only a small amount of them is excreted in the urine, in lactating animals - partly in milk.

INDICATIONS FOR USE

RikazolВ® is prescribed to large and small ruminants with nematodes, cestodoses and trematodes. Deworming of animals is carried out according to indications, with a preventive one - in the spring before pasture and in the fall before stalling.

DOSAGE AND METHOD OF APPLICATION

The drug is used once, individually, intramuscularly.

Cattle use Ricazole for moniesiasis, pulmonary and gastrointestinal nematodes - at a dose of 1 ml per 25 kg of animal weight (4 mg / kg of ricobendazole), for trichocephalosis - at a dose of 1 ml per 20 kg of animal weight (5 mg / kg of ricobendazole ), with chronic fascioliasis, paramphistomatosis, dicroceliosis - at a dose of 1 ml per 12.5 kg of animal weight (8 mg / kg of ricobendazole).

Small ruminants are used Ricazole for moniesiasis, tizaniasis, avitellinosis, pulmonary and gastrointestinal nematodes - at a dose of 1 ml per 25 kg of animal weight (4 mg / kg of ricobendazole), for chronic fascioliasis, dicroceliosis, paramphistasomatosis, 1 ml, trichoidosis per 12.5 kg of animal weight (8 mg / kg of ricobendazole).

When the drug is administered in a volume exceeding 5 ml for sheep and goats, 15 ml for cattle, injections should be carried out in several places. In the cold season, the drug must be warmed up to a temperature of 20-25 В° C before administration.

SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS

Slaughter of animals for meat after deworming is allowed no earlier than 30 days. The meat of animals that were forcedly killed before the expiration of the specified time limits can be used as feed for fur animals.

Milk of dairy animals must not be used for food purposes within 5 days after deworming. Milk obtained earlier than the established date can be used after heat treatment in animal feed.

SHELF LIFE AND STORAGE

The shelf life of the medicinal product, subject to storage conditions in a sealed package, is 2 years from the date of production, after the first opening, no more than 30 days. It is prohibited to use the drug Ricazole after the expiration date. Rikazole is stored in the manufacturer's sealed packaging, separately from food and feed, in a dry, dark place at a temperature of 5 В° C to 25 В° C.
