The powder of 1 sachet is dissolved in 1 liter of boiled water cooled to room temperature.
No other components can be added to the solution so as not to disrupt the effect of the drug.
The solution is taken orally or administered under the supervision of a physician through a nasogastric tube.
Before starting treatment, the patient should be weighed to determine body weight loss and measure of dehydration.
Breastfeeding can be continued as long as necessary, even during oral rehydration, or it can be continued immediately after rehydration.
Avoid fatty foods and foods high in simple sugars.
The prepared solution should be taken after each liquid emptying, in small sips.
For 6-10 hours, the dose of a solution of the drug Regidron can be 30-60 ml / kg of body weight.
Therapy with Rehydron should be started after the onset of diarrhea.
Usually it is necessary to take the drug no longer than 3-4 days the drug must be discontinued after the end of the diarrhea.
In case of nausea and vomiting, it is advisable to take chilled solution in small doses.
Rehydration: to correct dehydration, the drug must be taken within the first 6-10 hours in an amount that is twice the weight loss in diarrhea, that is, if the loss is 400 ml, the amount of the drug is 800 ml.
During therapy with Rehydron, there is no need to use other fluids.
If diarrhea continues, after correcting dehydration, Regidron (10-20 ml / kg body weight) and other fluids (20-100 ml / kg body weight) can be used for the next 24 hours.
