DESCRIPTION
Ranosan ointment is a wound-healing drug. for the treatment of wounds, diseases of the skin and soft tissues of bacterial etiology and the prevention of postoperative infections in dogs, cats, fur-bearing animals, decorative rodents and sports horses. In appearance, the drug is an ointment from light yellow to yellow.

COMPOSITION
In 1 g as active ingredients it contains: hydroxymethylquinoxylindoxide - 10 mg, methyluracil - 30 mg, chlorine-amphenicol - 10 mg and lidocaine hydrochloride - 50 mg, as well as auxiliary substances: zinc oxide, lanolin, paraffin, emulsion wax, methylparaben, propylparaben, purified water and petroleum jelly.
PHARMACOLOGICAL PROPERTIES
Ranosan ointment belongs to antiseptic, wound-healing preparations for external use.
Chloramphenicol, which is part of the drug - an antibiotic from the amphenicol group, has a bactericidal and bacteriostatic effect on most gram-positive and gram-negative microorganisms that cause infections of the skin and soft tissues.
Hydroxymethylquinoxylindoxide (dioxidine) is a broad-spectrum antimicrobial drug from the group of quinoxaline derivatives, has antibacterial activity in infections caused by Proteus vulgaris, dysentery bacillus, Klebsiella, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, salmonella, staphylococci, streptococcus pathogens, pathogens.
Methyluracil is a pyrimidine derivative that regulates metabolic processes, accelerates regeneration processes, promotes wound healing, increases the level of local immunity, and has anti-inflammatory properties.
Lidocaine has a local anesthetic effect, the mechanism of which is based on a decrease or complete suppression of the excitability of sensitive nerve endings and inhibition of the conduction of a nerve impulse through nerve fibers.
Ranosan ointment, according to the degree of impact on the body, belongs to low-hazard substances (hazard class 4 according to GOST 12.1.007-76), in the recommended doses it does not have a resorptive-toxic and skin-irritating effect.
APPLICATION PROCEDURE
Ranosan ointment is used for dogs, cats, fur animals, decorative rodents and sports horses externally for the treatment of surgical and traumatic wounds, burns, bedsores, frostbite, inflammatory diseases of the skin and soft tissues, as well as for the prevention of postoperative infections (after castration, docking of tails and ears, suturing).
Ranosan ointment is applied to animals externally once a day until the affected surface is completely healed, but not more than 14 days. Before using the drug, if necessary, the affected surface is treated: the wool is cut, the wound is freed from mechanical impurities, crusts, scabs, and washed with antiseptic solutions.
Ranosan ointment is applied in a thin layer to the affected surface using a spatula, glass rod or cotton-gauze swab, evenly distributing from the periphery to the center of the affected area, with the capture of borderline healthy skin up to 1 cm.Gauze napkins with ointment applied to them are applied to open wounds. fixed with a bandage, ointment is introduced into cavity wounds by a drainage method.
SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS
The use of the drug for pregnant and lactating females, possibly after consultation with a veterinarian.
The peculiarities of the action at the first use of the drug and at its cancellation were not revealed.
Symptoms of drug overdose in animals were not identified.
Avoid skipping the use of the next dose of the drug, as this can lead to a decrease in therapeutic efficacy.

SHELF LIFE AND STORAGE

The shelf life of the drug, subject to storage conditions, is 2 years from the date of production. It is prohibited to use Ranosan ointment after the expiration date.
