DESCRIPTION
Rabix is ​​an inactivated canine rabies vaccine. The dosage form is a suspension for injection. In appearance, the vaccine is a clear yellowish or pink liquid; at the bottom of the bottle, a slight sediment may form, which, when shaken, easily breaks up into a homogeneous suspension.
COMPOSITION
The vaccine is made from beta-propiolactone-inactivated rabies virus production strain ERA-CB-20M, grown in BHK-21 cell culture, with the addition of a gel adjuvant.
BIOLOGICAL PROPERTIES
Rabix is ​​an immunobiological drug.
In vaccinated animals, the vaccine will induce the formation of immunity to rabies, 2-3 weeks after immunization, which lasts for at least 36 months.
One immunizing dose of vaccine1 (1 cm3) contains at least 1 IU of rabies virus. The vaccine is harmless and has no medicinal properties.
DOSAGE AND APPLICATION
The vaccine is intended for prophylactic immunization of dogs and canines (arctic foxes, foxes) against rabies.
The vaccine is injected subcutaneously into the scapula area or intramuscularly into the thigh area in a dose of 1.0 cm3 in compliance with the rules of asepsis and antiseptics.
Puppies from 8-12 weeks of age and adult animals not previously vaccinated against rabies are given the vaccine twice with an interval of 21-28 days. Revaccination of puppies and adult animals previously vaccinated against rabies is carried out 1 time in 3 years. In areas with an unfavorable rabies epizootic situation, it is recommended to revaccinate annually.
SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS
There have been no signs of rabies or other pathological signs in case of an overdose of the vaccine.
The peculiarities of the post-vaccination reaction during the primary, re-vaccination and revaccination have not been established.
Dogs are not subject to vaccination in the last month of pregnancy and in the first month after giving birth, and puppies under 8 weeks of age.
Violations of the vaccination schedule should be avoided, as this can reduce the effectiveness of rabies immunization. In case of skipping the repeated administration of the vaccine, it is necessary to immunize as soon as possible.
When applied subcutaneously at the injection site, swelling may quickly disappear.
In case of manifestation in some animals of an allergic reaction to the introduction of the vaccine, it is necessary to carry out symptomatic therapy.
Simultaneous use of the vaccine with the vaccines Multican-2, Multican-4, Multican-1, Multican-6, Multican-7 and Asterion DРќPPiL is allowed. It is forbidden to vaccinate animals with other vaccines (except for those listed) within 21 days from the day of the last injection of the vaccine.
The vaccine is not used in the same syringe with other biological products and drugs.
The timing of the possible use of products of animal origin after the introduction of the vaccine is not established.
CONTRAINDICATIONS
It is forbidden to vaccinate clinically sick and / or weakened animals.
SIDE EFFECTS
No side effects have been identified when using the vaccine.
SHELF LIFE AND STORAGE
The shelf life of the vaccine is 18 months from the date of release, subject to the storage and transportation conditions.
The vaccine is stored and transported in a dry, dark place at a temperature of 2 В° C to 8 В° C.
PACKAGING
The vaccine is packaged in 1 ml (1 dose) in sterile ampoules or vials corresponding to: capacity. Vaccine ampoules are hermetically sealed, and the vials are tightly closed with sterile rubber stoppers, reinforced with aluminum caps. Vials (ampoules) with the vaccine are packed in cardboard (plastic) boxes or blisters of 10 pieces. Each box contains instructions for using the vaccine.
